What do YOU think I should do? Buy for PS3, or PC?

I don't see any reason to buy the PS3 version honestly if you can get the PC version.

PC.

It looks better, runs better, and if you prefer m/kb then thats reason enough to get the PC version.

It also has live achievements if you care about that sort of thing.

Bioshock 2 on PC runs like crap.

After a patch or 2 it will be the best version though.

And as for the Killzone 2 thing, don't even bother; FPS is not meant for analog sticks.

Whats your rig? And whats crap? 20fps?

The game runs at a solid 60fps at 1680x1050 maxed including DX10 and my rig is a few years old, id say it runs better than the first.

Have you go V-sync on or something that might be hurting your FPS?

Well, I do have a ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 mb, 6 GB ram and a Intel Core i7 CPU, so maybe the PC version would be a better choice.

Still need to find good PS3 games though.

PC, though the choice is a bit more even now. If you'd decided a few weeks back you could have gotten in on a four pack for the PC version for $34. Half price the PS3 version for a better version of the game is an absolute no-brainer.

Ewww don't get killzone 2. Honestly whats really the point of getting a ps3 shooter if the majority of them are for the pc as well. Get ot for the pc and just buy a game like Demon Souls for the ps3 instead ;)

If you decide to get it on PC but you're afraid of FPS games on controllers, buy a FragFX controller. It's a mouse for your right hand connected to a controller for your left. Works great for FPS games, even superior to K+M.

Your machine will run it pretty well,so the PC version is your best option. Also, you have achievements in the PC version since it´s a windows live game(GFW).

Buy it for PC but rent it on PS3 later. The reason I say this is the PC version will allow you to get the most bang for your buck and play on a setup that you're used to. After you've beaten the game and the experience is no longer "fresh" to you, try it on the PS3. Then it won't be anything in the game catching you off guard and you'll be able to focus on getting acclimated to the controller.

My advice: Try to get the controller closer to what you're used to. Me personally? I've only played the first Bioshock. But I turned my sensitivity from 50 up to 75 and turned Auto-Aim completely off. Do this for any game you can. It'll improve your accuracy with a controller and force you to get more used to it. Also, pick up a pair of these at some point. They're only $5 and a welcome add-on to any PS3 controller. I only have one set, but I already love them and plan on getting sets for my other 3 controllers.

Once you get used to the Dualshock 3 you can start choosing whatever platform offers the better experience for your multiplatform games. If it was me, I'd probably get FPSs on the PC and third person games on the PS3.

Why Mirrors Edge? It works great for true FPS games. + the left hand controller nunchuck thing is better than having to rest your hand on a keyboard and feel around for keys IMO and that's coming from someone who used to be a huge kb+m enthusiast

so you could get the superior version for less money..or pay more money for the inferior version. it really does seem clear cut to me...the PS3 version obhiously. :P. seriously id advise getting B2 for the PC. the PS3 version, although alot better than B1 on the PS3, is still compromised. why pay more for it? if you want to get a FPS for the PS3 then try the resistance games or KZ2. not spectacular, but ssolid titles and worth a play. theres a demo of KZ2 available on the PS store.

Oh snap! FragFX alllows mouse for PS3? I gatta get one of those!

With that, I will not hesitate to get PS3 versions of FPS games since I can actually use a mouse to play them.

But wait, is it compatible with all PS3 games, i.e. just a very fance PS3 controller?

Well I have been a Nintendo gamer all my life, hence a console gamer.

After using the Wii Remote for FPS games, I was in love, but there are more FPS games for PC, and the Mouse works very similarly to that of the Wii Remote.

The only reason I say the PS3 controller is a problem for me is that I was so used to using IR pointer for aiming instead of analog stick.

I guarantee you if the Wii controller was a regular controller, I wouldnt have this issue in the first place.

Thats sweet, but there are only2 problems with this.

1. I would need a table to set it on

2. I would only use it for FPS games since all other game types are better with normal controller, i.e. Prototype

Doesnt the PS3 version support 1080p? In that case, presentation between it and the PC version should be similar, me thinks.

Neither PS3 or 360 version support 1080p natively so no you will get much better resolution on PC also better frames and better textures with the PC version and on the plus side it's cheaper

If you want to familiarize yourself with dual analog controls BioShock 2 isn't a bad choice. Its main part is the story mode so you won't have to worry about getting beat down online. You can take it at your own pace so when you get back into Killzone 2 the learning curve will be smaller and online will probably be a much more fun experience.

Otherwise get it on PC.

I'd wait on picking up a pc version... at least until a demo. No widescreen resolutions, no official controller support, unclear DRM protection. Also the first one had horrible low end spec scaling which is likely for the sequel also.
