Old content is irrelevant unless you care about transmog and pets
What does it have exactly? Bungie have the nerve to call these small DLC packs "expansion packs"? LolBungie. Not even close to the content of a expansion pack.
Very little chance this game can keep going without new raids, that's the only reason why people have been playing this game. Players grind and farm in the game to do well in the raid. The arena could of got some players back if it were perhaps 6-player co-op but with just 3 no way. Hopefully other developers realize this and make their own pseudo MMO FPS and actually listen to their fans a little.
i was saying this on the official forums... Just look how much shittier Crota raid is compared to the original Vault of Glass. Its not even fair to compare. You know a lot of time was put into VoG (to make every1 hyped for the next dlcs for raids alone and it worked flawlessly). From an awesome raid to a sorry ass raid and then no raids at all, this is Activision for you.
Raids are the worst part of Destiny. They need to add more story missions and SP content.
why would they add more story missions when they have no story? why would they add SP content when this game is considered as an mmo by those who still play it? The original raid was the only good and fun content in this game and i have done everything there is to do x100
Destiny....People still play that game?
It seems to me that people who trash the game the most are the ones who haven't played it

Because they made the game to be a grind, for people who like RPGs, with excellent gunplay. Sorry but I got flat out tired of doing raids and strikes with unreliable and selfish assholes, and they were friends/clan members no less!
The game has excellent atmosphere, guns, gameplay and locations. I'd love to see them add SP content that was actually fun to play, and improve the story as best they can and offer lots of new missions like that.
**** depending on other morons to help you get your gear and level up as the only way to play the game, that's why it fails so hard.

I've played it. I even played the beta.
In terms of gunplay, it's amazing. As a offline single player story focused game, it could of been something special if done right. As a "MMO wannabe", it's a waste of great potential.

Agreed. Bungie screwed the pooch by focusing way too much on bro op content. They didnt' even get that part right. It's like they went with half-assed ideas and ran with it before thinking things through.
Damn, the raids are the best thing about the game.
I haven't played my copy in a few months, guess that'll continue. Destiny requires too big of a time commitment anyways.

but when you're done with the SP, what are you gonna be doing? doing the same tired strikes and raids isn't an answer, yes, but that's because the variety isn't there. If this game had 30+ strikes and 10+ raids i really don't see the problem of replaying them when there's so many options. I have done over 600 strikes before i quit this game, i let you guess how much i care about this one new strike they're adding lol. But i don't think adding SP would make sense 'now', 7 months later. People still playing are thirsty for new endgame content with longevity, i don't think fitting some kind of SP with non existent replay value (i mean just look at what's currently available, its royally pathetic for gaming standards) is the way to go this late.
Another example of Destiny not living up to it's potential is the open world exploration. Nothing but re-spawnings of the same few species of alien races with nothing else to fill the void in large, lifeless areas. They even took away the finding of regional elements by allowing you to buy them in the tower with vanguard marks. No longer can you gather the materials for vanguard marks.
Acquiring legendary and exotic weapons/armor means that by design, you're supposed to gain experience points to level them up, but give you almost nothing to do to earn them, except killing those same re-spawning enemies over and over again, getting the same ole few bounties and meeting the requirements, turning them in for a few extra points, and the same few strikes and raids again and again.
At this point I'm wondering if the new content even amounts to an "expansion" at all?

They fucked things up beyond all repair at this point. Nobody plays the game anymore and this crap they call expansion packs isn't enough new content to keep players longer than a week or so.
Destiny is dead, and Bungie would have to put a gun to my head to convince me to buy Destiny 2, which I hear is already in the works. I doubt they've learned anything from this mess, other than it's easy to trick fools like us and take our money.

you'd be surprised how many dumbasses are still playing the (not implying everyone still play is one, obviously) game, i just came out from the official forum and it looks like no new raids set up a shitstorm on the forums. The game (more like the sequel. Destiny 1 is waaay too flawed to be fixed by simple dlc's marketed as expansions) is fixable but that's like building the game from scratch, they literally have nothing else but solid gunplay (which needs 60fps with this kind of 'nothing special' visuals and way bigger FoV. 65 FoV is ridiculous) and art direction, that's it. It misses everything else including enemies variety. I find it funny that a game like bloodborne, built by a small team with a small budget has so many enemy kinds and so many look damn original while in Destiny they do not only recycle the same enemies for their EXPANSIONS but they oversize a normal enemy, give it a unique name and call this shit a boss,,,,,,, what the ****.
Hopefully this clearly shows the terrible realization of pre-ordering dlc's... aka buying season passes. You don't know what you are getting, you are just led by a promise that can easily be broken by the devs.
Totally learned the hard way because that's exactly what my dumb ass did. Expensive lesson for sure.
The damn game is so buggy that trophies don't unlock in my game any more for some strange reason. Not that I particularly care about trophies, but it's super annoying none the less.
......*cough*.....hummmmmkmmmmm.....*clears throat*........
So...I've stood behind this game through thick and thin....b/c I love the gameplay. I didn't make excuses.....I was the first to admit it faults and the first to admit that the first xpac was lacking real content.
But the game was still fun.
All that said.....I, as a very big Destiny fan.....will fucking uninstall this fucking game if this fucking xpac is does not have content worth a shit.
I'm giving it the chance for Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders to not just be 2 new strikes and something to make me want to keep playing like a regular end game raid.
If the content is shit....I will shit on this game every chance I get.
Don't compare Destiny to WoW. World of Warcraft has been crap for a while now, but at least it's not destiny.
At least WoW had a very good run, and offered players much more to do than anything Destiny has to offer.
What's funny is this game seems like such shit but 10 million of you all bought it. Probably many more will still pick it up, and many more will buy the sequel.

I bought it used, Bungie has so far received exactly $0.00 from me, and it looks like it will stay that way.
@lamprey263: I played the beta....and thats what hooked me. You can't blame ppl for situations like that.
I bought the xpac bundle too....I enjoyed it that much.
So....I've already got all the current content.....but like I said....they fucking slack off on this shit for a 3rd time....I'll go on their site and get banned for the frustration I vent.
Then the whole Destiny franchise can **** itself for all I care....I won't be buying any more content for it.
So after reading through some of the Destiny forums....it seems theres a bit of confusion going on.
House of Wolves might not come with a raid....but the wording is confusing. Vault of Glass was a raid added....but we did not have to pay for it. And the way Bungie words it....it seems they might be wanting to make the raid perfect b/c of all the cheese that went on in the Crota raid.
And then the raid will come later....for free a la VoG....or just as a later installment to HoW.
I guess we'll have to wait and see. When WOW xpacs come out.....they don't start off with end game content. They come gradually.
All I know is that if I have to pay to play the next raid....after buying the 2 "expansions"....then I'm out.
