Just got off after playing since 12:45 visuals are slightly cleaner looking to me compared to beta. I like the game.

Yeah, kids love the "New thread" button, though it isn't like the board is exactly overrun with quality threads thatt might get obscured atm.

But hell, this makes 10 posts in about 4 hours (and we aren't even talking about the silly game). Just seems like giving the game too much credit. Every semi-quality new release generates more threads than it deserves, but the chatter dies quickly, and without locking down all conversation to a sticky.

Got home from work, watched an AMAZING Cardinals win over the Chargers, trying to hook up with someone I met at a bar -- will play when I get around to it!

Very good job for Microsoft though, introducing predownloading before Destiny. All I had to do was hit one button and it's ready to go.

I think ill just wait for halo, got a feeling destiny is gana flop hard.

I think it's pretty funny that only the ones who want this game to flop are Xbox fanboys. Gee, I wonder why ...

By media I don't think it will be too much.

By people on here though... I think there will be a lot of extreme opinions on both ends. It's getting a lot of attention and talk thats for sure, I think it will be a solid game but nowhere near goty

to me, from what i've seen from gameplay videos, this game just looks like a Halo in a new expensive suit. same bastard under the flashy clothes.

Went through most of the beta stuff, and just got done with the first mission on the moon.

I was doing the missions on hard, because otherwise the game is a mind numbing pushover, but right when you get to the moon you might want to cut that shit out. Because if you aren't the proper level the enemies are just so much spongier and stronger than you that it's not exactly a satisfying challenge, as much as it just feels like bs.

Bitchin soundtrack though.

Just got Destiny today really looking forward to playing it.

No formal reviews because reviewers have only had it for 24 hrs so far, expect reviews in the next few days. Gamespot and IGN probably won't be up till end of the week.

@nutcrackr Ahhh ok I really wanted this game but everything I've seen has pushed me away. I'm waiting for the reviews to push me over the edge.

@kuu2 If it was borderlands with a sci fi vibe I'd be all in. It seems to have a smaller scope than borderlands I could be mistaken.

@nihonking: probably because of what the developer said. Wouldn't be surprised if reviews get delayed a week

Anyone know if you can skip cutscenes? Now, I don't want to. It's just that I've just replayed this mission on hard, and it ended with the same cutscene as the first time, except I couldn't skip it.

@LegatoSkyheart Ya I heard about the statement. Sort of makes it seem like they are being sneaky and trying to get the reviews delayed while they push the sales up. Maybe I'm just over thinking the whole ordeal I just expected so much and this game failed. The first time I found out you cant pilot ships that is when it all started going down hill for me.

Is it true the single player is 7-9 hours long?

@kuu2 Single player needs you to stay online...which I don't like and i have have fast internet. I just don't like single player being dependent on the internet. Also by scope I mean less gun variety and the maps don't seem too large but I'm talking out of my ass on that. I have no point of reference on map size as of yet.

It's all one campaign. One online campaign. You will always need an internet connection.

I know, it's not ideal.

@Desmonic So what the hell has bungie been designing all this time...smh 8 hour single player...this is insane I cant believe in 2014 we get 8 hour games with dlc already waiting before game launch. This is sad I own both next gen consoles I just want a game worth playing on either one. As of right now pc is taking up my gaming time along with my last gen consoles ps3 and 360. Im sorry for the meltdown but I have waited for this game and with each leak of news my bar got set lower and lower for game expectations.

It would be hilarious if no man's sky ends up having a bigger, more expansive universe than destiny.

It seems to already be on its way to having that.

Both networks are a mess right now and having problems apparently?
