SOURCE

"Deus Ex: Human Revolution and that of its publisher, Eidos, have been hacked, and a ton of information and code stolen."

"KrebsOnSecurity says that among the data lifted were 9000 resumes, personal information from around 80,000 registered fans/users of Deus Ex's website and, most alarmingly for Eidos, there was talk of leaking the "src", which it's speculated could mean the "source" code for the game (though this seems unlikely, and they're probably referring to be the code for the websites)."

yes, hackers attacking gaming instead of evil corporations who cause birth defects/disasters (BP) or corrupt politicians or genocidal dictators.

Some people don't need motivation for crime , just opportunity.

Don't worry about it. what goes around comes around. Plus psychics already know where they are hiding.

Well, when the governments of the world decide to start locking down the internet for us normal users, we know who to blame.

I guess I don't get what makes these hackers tick.

If I had the combined ability and motivation to do such things, companies like Sony and especially Eidos would not be my targets.

I was just thinking how ridiculous that government suggestion sounds by now.

Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

There's many, Uplink is pretty good and set in the future. Although some of the really hard jobs require you to actually know a little about real hacking.

Wut? Deus Ex Revolution was never a "great PC game" as it was multiplatform to begin with. From what I've seen the game has plenty of care PC wise.

Wow, what is this hate towards Anon? Is there any evidence that they did this? In my knowledge there is not. So scapegoating really works after all huh. A group of hackers declares war to a company after something they thought unfair and suddenly all the digital wrong-doings are their work and they are the absouluteley only hackers with bad intentions on the net.

I mean, there really is no possibility that some other people are using this opportunity and stupidity of the people to frame other groups and take the spotlight off themselves right? I can't believe how ready humans to condemn.

If anyone bothered to read the link, they'd see these hackers left their frickin' nicknames and info. Please stop calling them anonymous, and please stop talking about Anon as if it's some sort of organisation.

To consider yourself part of Anon you simply have to be anonymous, ffs. It's not an organized thing, any douchebag can proclaim he's Anonymous and he'd be perfectly right.

This is getting out of hand. Why all the sudden have gaming companies become the new playground for hackers? It's really upsetting. All these companies do is try to entertain us.

That would be the best and indeed most appropriate marketing for a game ever!
