The proof is in the games, as NONE of the PS4 games look like they are more powerful then the XBox One games. KZ: SF doesn't look much better then Titanfall, Quantum Break or Forza 5. It definitely doesn't look like it's 50% better.

Alright now bro. I like my 360 and hope to my X1 as well, but KZ Mercenary is awesome! I am loving this game for my Vita. I loved KZ2, liked 3, look forward to PS4 and SF sometime late next year. Getting the X1, DR3, Titanfall first, SON!

The problem is the FPS and Resolution isn't 50% greater on the PS4 either. XBox One has games running at 1080p @60fps as well. So for now, all the BS is a joke. That's why I've said it's 50% better on paper. Show it to me in the games. Digital Foundry already did performances and found it was only like 5-10% better performance on the PS4. No where close to 50%

@tormentos How can you call the original Xbox a failure when it standardized HDD for consoles and online gaming for them as well? And, more importantly, the company put out the 360 after it!! WTF Titanfall look like crap compare to Killzone SF man i know you like to defend the xbox one,that is ok dude but saying things like that really make you look silly and desperate,Titanfall was demo without physics basically,static trees,crappy textures,everything set to stone,even some sites say that,the game wasn't acclaimed for its graphics but for the gameplay,it was source engine and it wasn't 1080p.

In Killzone SF you even see individual leaves moving,incredible physics and great animation,while been 1080p 60FPS,Titanfall is only online so it should be compare to Killzone SF online,so Killzone mops the floor with it,is 1080p is 60 FPS and is a launch game.

Quantum break is a damn fake game only you will believe that Remedy will put a better looking game that Crytek on xbox one,the game looked so far ahead of any xbox game it was quite easy to see it was fake,i may as well bring the demo done by Quantic Dreams.

And once again 50% more power doesn't mean 50% better visuals,not even on PC that is true,and you can see even the 7970 vs the 7850 for that,higher frames at higher resolutions.

And? The PS2 won because of the games. It continued to outsell the Xbox and Gamecube, so power and graphics mean SQUAT

Again as I said to you earlier I have a wife and children that love Netflix and kinect, that doesnt make it crap, it makes it a valuable additional feature. I dont want to go down the whole....I have a life and other priorities route with you. I have explained my reasons why I am choosing the XboxONE and I have explained why I dislike the PS3.5.

@RR360DD Don't pretend like the XB1 has these godly games. We all know both lineups are lackluster and some people can prefer one or the other. Unfortunately, Sony has better first party developers. In the long run, just as all the previous generations, Sony will come out on top with the best exclusives. Dude, Titanfall looks like ASS. It looks like something that couldve been cooked up on 360. KZSF looks next gen. These are LAUNCH games. So PS4 games have to look 50% better, otherwise you're going to downplay, yet checking your posting history you reveled in 360s multiplats over PS3 which have like a 1% difference. Wii won because of price, PS2 won because of support and continuing legacy. PS4 has both of those, so i don't see it having trouble. The truth is that 360 only did well because Sony screwed up early on with the PS3. X1 won't continue that success unless MS makes a legacy for Xbox outside of LIVE.

No one knows what KZ:SF multiplayer will be like as we have yet to see it actually running on a retail PS4. I'll wait before I pass judgement on that. Maybe Sony will actually send some consoles to Gamestop with demos on it before the system launches on Nov 15. Then we'll know for sure how it runs.

All that matters is that performance will be greater and noticeable.

It is not true as the article says that “all E3 demos run on hi-end PCs”. The Witness was running on PS4 dev hardware, and it looked to me like all the other PS4 games were running on dev kits as well.

Dev hardware is the hardware that will be in the final retail box, but in a less consumer-oriented package.

i know KZ SF looks amazing and its probably pretty easy to think that its running on stronger hardware then the 1.84 teraflop figure from Sony, but truth is its running on actual PS4 hardware, and it does look pretty dam amazing

What Microsoft and Digital Foundry' have found out with the law of diminishing returns with adding more CU's after a certain point is not good news for Xbox One

Microsoft has discovered that 12 CU's with a slight upclock performs better then 14 CU's, that adding more CU's doesnt scale linearly anymore after a certain point (around 12-14 CU mark it stops scaling linearly)

So with that being said, since eventually most PS4 developers will be using 14:4 model of CU's on PS4, Xbox One either has no choice but to match the PS4 in compute or have terrible games compared to PS4 with absolutely no compute going on (weak physics, etc), so while the PS4 will have a marginal drop in graphical quality because of the CU diminishing returns that Microsoft and Digital Foundry have tested, the Xbox One will suffer more of a penalty drop if they want to match PS4 in compute

So 8:4 model for Xbox One does not sound good, Xbox One will suffer a bigger graphical penalty drop per CU because Xbox One CU count isnt in the diminishing returns territory of CU's, either way Xbox One is at a disadvantage here and will never be up to par with the PS4,

Either dedicate all 12 CU's to try and match PS4 in graphical quality and have absolutely no compute going on while PS4 has 400+ gigaflops dedicated to compute, or try and match PS4 in compute and suffer big graphical quality drop

So actually the PS4 does have a 50% performance benefit, PS4 will spread its legs(power) over the generation over the Xbox One, 8:4 model for Xbox One and 14:4 model for PS4 is about 50% performance benefit for PS4

Its about a 30% performance benefit for PS4 in graphical terms if you apply all 18 CU's to graphics rendering for PS4 and 12 CU's for graphics rendering on Xbox One

But when the Xbox One decides to match PS4 in compute, that % goes back up to 50% due to Xbox One total CU count not being in diminishing returns territory of adding CU's and Xbox One suffering more of a penalty per CU
