Devil May Cry 5 or Bayonetta 3 - what do you want to play more?

Bayo 3. It's the better franchise. Fall 2019 is my guess.

Hyped for and will no doubt enjoy both a lot but I’d have to give the edge to Bayonetta 3. The previous 2 games were pretty much perfect.

Bayonetta 3 cause I wanna stare at dat ass all day long :3

Good question. I guess I dont care they are both super fun games to me.

I recently argued the point of why game play is the most important thing in video games to a known Youtuber that loves games like Detroit and Until Dawn. If game play is meh I don't care how cool the story is. But in games like Bayonetta or Devil May Cry I still cant tell people WTF the story is in detail. But they game play is so awesome the games are great.

In the end its all subjective I guess.

I am very hyped for Devil May Cry 5. Always had a thing for DMC games since DMC1 on PS2...Really don’t want to miss out on 5. (But bayo is great also)

Definitely Bayonetta.

Devil May Cry 5, because its the better offer of the two. If I want to play DMC5 I pay 60 euros, if I want to play Bayo 3, I'd have to pay 360 euros. So yeah, screw Bayo 3.

Love both series but i prefer bayonetta's combat over dmc.

I loved playing the other bayo on the Switch And the DMC franchise last gen was just a waste, so Bayo 3 is my pick.

I prefer DMC3 over both Bayonettas. I'm hoping DMC5 will live up to DMC3, but I know it will be better than Bayonetta 3.

I wouldn't mind playing Devil May Cry 5, but never really liked the Bayonetta combat.

Bayonetta is still ace though. Would love to play 2 and 3 but I'm not willing to buy a console for two games of my interest

Dont know about Bayo2 but Bayo1 had those two levels (the rocket and the highway levels) that were pretty aweful. They ruined the pace of the game.

People are already doing great stuff with the DMCV demo alone. I cant wait to see what they'll do with the proper full game with all the moves unlocked

That I agree with. DMC4 was a lazy, cheesy piece of shit (Well, mediocre, but might as well call it shit.) that is usually only defended for its combat. There is more to a 3D action game than just combat. DMC3 > Bayonetta series > DMC4.

I have had a lot of fun with both franchises, but I prefer the style system and mechanics of Devil May Cry more. The witch time mechanic of Bayonetta sucks the chaotic energy from the flow of the fights. It can get a little tedious and boring when everything keeps freezing into slow motion every couple of seconds.

No gameplay has been shown for Bayonetta 3 "looks meh" GOTY for sure.

I love DMC but if I'm forced to choose its Bayo 3 for me. What I like and want in games now days is more from enemies even the standard mobs. Not so much how cool is it to lift them up in the air and string together combos. Its more of how often do i have to react to them. How tactically i have to be, dodge, dance with them if you will. Historically both series had some cool enemy designs but I feel that Bayonetta has always embrace that more. I don't mean the difficult but the gameplay with the enemy. For that I'm mostly looking forward to a Bayonetta game more.

They seem to be realizing the mistakes of the past and are focusing on what the dmc fans want.

I dont need to wait for a trailer to know it most than probably wont run at a higher resolution than 720p. If Platinum wants a stable 60fps in such a weak a** hardware it just wont happen. 900p? Maybe in dock mode but thats already stretching it
