HIGHEST QUALITY MODE
- PS5 and XSX target 4k/30
- Had trouble finding drops below that on PS5 but even more trouble finding drops on XSX
- One area where there was a drop to 2088p on PS5 but not present on XSX (time stamp 1:15)
- Had trouble finding drops below that on PS5 but even more trouble finding drops on XSX
- XSS targets 1440p but had drops to 1368p
- does not use the high quality textures that the XSX and PS5 do
- lower AA filtering
HIGHEST PERFORMANCE MODE
- PS5
- Motion blur with checkerboarded 4K make the images look like they are lower resolution
- Slight drops in FPS with effects on screen (keeps high 50's when it does drop)
- load time 4:32
- XSX
- Does not use chekerboarding
- appears to use post processing that is closer to the native res
- because of this the XSX does not suffer from the image quality deficits that the PS5 does
- scales res but since the res is achieved differently it looks different than the PS5 (see comparison at 4:50- 5:30 timestamp)
- XSX has a better image quality than PS5 even though the resolution is lower (time stamp 6:25- 7:28) - the resolution in this image is 2016p (PS5) - 1872p (XSX) - this is due to post processing
- Slight drops in FPS with effects on screen (slightly more than the PS5 does) (keeps high 50's when it does drop)
- Load time 6:29
- XSS
- 1080p highest
- blurry image due to lower res particle settings
- less foliage than XSX
- same frame rate as XSX
- load time 6:36
