DF The Division PS4 vs XBO

tl;dw: Parity level 90% PS4 rare drops at 1080p, Xbox One dynamic 1080p rare drops and tares. Unlocked framerate in cutscenes on Xbox One cause hiccups.

No surprise here.

I would call that parity level 70%. Less resolution and screen tearing should weigh more than 10%. The game looks good on all 3 platforms though.

Lazy freakin devs this gen, C'mon, get with the SecretSauce, StormCloud program. lol :P

Honestly that was a random number I through out. It happens rarely so I didn't think it was a big deal.

It got worse after the beta which I find odd. I'm starting to think some NVIDIA Gameworks features were actually non-functionning. If they were always present why make a video about it AFTER the beta?

Interesting thing to note, since what you're referring to s NPD sales which don't track digital or bundled sales of software sales.

The PS4 versions sold more if you include bundles and worldwide sales were a slaughter in favor of the PS4 versions. NPD does track individual bundles but they separate them from individual software. Someone on gaf who has access to the NPD report added them up before.

@mjorh: @Juub1990: Sorry I'm driving (pumping gas at the moment) so I can't provide links right now, but Gaf exposed some of those benchmarks. If you look at different sites they are reporting wildly different results. It was pointed out at Gaf that the benchmarks that were much higher were frame rates recorded during indoor sequences. The benches that were lower were recorded outdoors. Very strange and many are waiting for DF before they go nuts. But most users with high end rigs are reporting similar performance as the beta. I haven't had a chance to play any version of the game yet, but will play all 3 at some point this weekend.

It's been the story of the XBone the entire gen.

Xbone = mediocre standards.

Sony did not lose the sales battle for Battlefront in the US. I have no idea about BO3.

The player pool in US servers doesn't support that at all. It sold more in ps4 november than on xboxone but sold more physical on xboxone on december/january. That doesn't mean it sold more on xboxone.

All this video proved to me is that The Division looks beautiful on both the PS4 and Xbox One.

It's Gameworks effects slows down the PC build.

The Division includes NVIDIA Gameworks HBAO+ (Horizon Based Ambient Occlusion) and PCSS (Percentage Closer Soft Shadows).

There's a certain point where higher visual accuracy yield less effective visual improvements. Art asset's quality plays a big role with raster based games.

In general it appears to be a pretty level experience, I don't think a game like this would really be affected going either way if you own both systems.

For a game like this, where your friends are is more important.

indeed I have a ps4 and xboxone but I bought it for the x1, I knew it was probably going to be slightly better on the ps4, allthough that's not sure at all.
