Good. The massive changes they've made to Diablo 3 recently turned an alright game into a great game. I expect the expansion makes it even better.
I feel really glad and rewarded for holding off. Practically everyone has said this.
I preordered. While I didn't play it much right after launch, when I did get around to playing it I had fun but the game was boring and the flaws were obvious. Loot just didn't drop and you were forced to go into the auction house just to find good gear from the players who had been playing non stop and put everything up on the auction house.
I beat Act 4 and never went back. It had all of the pieces of a fun game but they weren't connected well. They patched out the auction house, increased the loot drops, reworked the difficulty so it's more logical, and retuned all of the skills and the game became far more fun to play.
I am having more fun with the game since the update and with this DLC I have a new build with the crusader and I have to say its easily the most fun I have had this year so far.
I'm one of those guys who held off on buying Diablo 3 until the first expansion. I have to say I'm glad I held off because the game is darn great right now. It was much much worse before. Also, I have to disagree with some assessment made here that RoS is just a DLC but Act V is actually about the same length as Act I and II combined or any other two acts combined. That's a lot for an expansion pack and expansion is key word here. It packs about the same amount of content as TFT.
As someone that hasn't touched Diablo 3 pretty much since it came out, can someone tell me what those recent great changes to the game were? I might just go back and check it out again.
It reminds me of baldurs gate. NPC's converse with random conversations and you can obv interact with them. After having played this directly from Torchlight II, Torchlight II feels bare and nothingness in comparison. I never got far into POE but that didn't seem to have any of the same level of character it's game-world. I just didn't give a shit. All Blizzard games are cheesy saterday morning cartoons but they are pretty good at excelling at making decent saterday morning cartoons.
Pretty sure that black man who falls from the sky is the narrator of Baldurs Gate.
Vanilla D3 is terrible, had to actually force myself to complete the game. This expansion seems way to overpriced for what it offers, kinda suprised that it still sold that well (or did it? Still A LOT less than vanilla D3 sold, guess more people didn't bother with the game anymore)

I know it sells less, but not THAT much less
Expansion packs lifetime sales are lucky if they hit 1 mil mark or even half of that. Blizzard almost tripled this in a week.
Currently Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls is a PC exclusive. PS4 version is planned for 2016 lol
No console game sold that much this year in so short period of time.

Not sure why anyone would bother. It's highly stylized to the point graphical power is almost irrelevant.
The community for PS4 would be very small. Overall, a waste of time. Blizzard would be best working on another pc expansion.
What makes you think that? PS4 is the most played platform for multiplat games, even when including for PC-centric titles. Go check the BF4 numbers sometime ;)
Maybe it's the PC version's community that will have to struggle keeping up with the PS4's. Just like Battlefield, the Diablo series is probably more at home on the consoles than the PC due to the uber streamlining. Then take into consideration that Diablo 3 is up against tons of other PC ARPGs while PS4 only has this one...meaning that PS4 probably will probably house the largest Diablo community.

What makes you think that?
Diablo 3 is designed to run on practically any pc hardware from low-end to high end. It's released on pc first well in advance. The Playstation 4 is expensive. Practically all of Blizzards userbase is on pc.
It's also a very stylized game, pure pixel power is very irrelevant. Aside from AA and forcing high levels of SSAO via inspector, not much different in visual quality can be attained.
Overall the Playstation 4 is a waste of time. Everyone agrees. .
