Diablo 3-What will be your starting class?

Anyway I'm holding my breath for a Paladin class otherwise I'm probably going Demonhunter.

It could change by release, no doubt. For now I will say that it definitely will NOT be the Witch Doctor or the Barbarian, and it will PROBABLY be the Demon Hunter. I honestly kind of dont want to pick the Demon Hunter because everyone else is. I know that sounds lame, the whole non conformist thing (which I hate), but it is annoying to be running around with the same character as everyone else (at least at first). Kind of like how you see the Paladin WAY too much in DII lol. Again, this could change to any class, but the Demon Hunter looks really fun and super cool.

P.S. - Oops I should not have made a thread JUST like this in the PC gameing forums :P.

Here are some changes I like about Diablo III:

• Physics engine, which changes your strategy. For example, you can bounce grenades off of walls to hit enemies around the corner, or cause parts of the environment to collapse and destroy your foes.
• Skill runes, add a lot more customizability to your characters than runes in Lord of Destruction ever did.
• Your gear and skills will change appearance depending on attributes/runes you attach. Remember how everybody in LoD had white gear and almost looked the same because they just used runewords? Yeah that was totally awesome...
• Dedicated PvP zones and modes, along with rewards for winning. If Blizzard's history says anything, this will probably be even more fleshed out as time goes on through patches.
• Achievements

Agreed, and this is coming from someone who has played more Diablo II then he would like to admit....way more lol. The stat system in Diablo II was indeed broken and traits seem to be a FAR better way of customization. They are adding SO much more for customization, which is ONLY a good thing :). Plus other things like charms being in the talisman rather then the inventory are nice additions. It was super lame having charms take up space. Not a fun mechanic at all. Also, the socketing and unsocketing things is a welcome addition, as well as not having to carry around a stupid cube. it made NO sense that you carried a cube around in your inventory, so all of these little fixes are very helpful additions. They have taken amost everything wrong with DII and made it right, in addition to adding new 3D content with loads of customization. Super excited for this game :).

probably monk as that's the closest thing to what I want to play. that or witch doctor seems pretty awesome.

I used to play as the Barb all the time, until I realised the awesomness of ranged characters. Now I just hang back and pick off enemies with style, while tanks mindlessly charge in there like the simple brutes that they are :lol:

Ive played diablo 3 at blizzcon and i have to say ima play the monk. It was awsome last year and this year.edinsftw

Keep in mind damage and such are subject to change, and we have yet to see so much that will form the characters in the end game. Were you able to play the Demon Hunter this year? The Demon Hunter looks like a blast. The wizard looks the second most fun so far to me, but as much as I love the sorceress in DII, I can only take playing as a weakling for so long :P.
