So when will DICE make a polished Battlefield game?

Edit: And Im specifically talking about the PC version. The console demos are pretty solid and Im guessing the retail is just as solid.

Bad Company 2 is a fun game. More fun than MW2 imo. The campaign was lackluster to say the least, though.

What a nice way to walk around the problem.

erglesmergle

you know how hard it is to fully polish an MP? even TF2 aint polished in some aspects.

But when you go to console level BFBC2 is just leagues and thats not an understatement ahead of modernwarfale/ripoff warfare 2.Least Dice listen to the end user on their opinions (im betting the next patch for BFBC2 on consoles is a biggie).Heck BF2 is still supported a fair bit by dice.

There are so many more little things that are there just to piss you off. And before you guys call me out on this, these are all problems DICE themselves admit are in the game. A lot of things in this game dont work when you want it to.

BFBC2 is pretty well polished compared to most online games I've played.

Ive had FAR more trouble with my knife in MW2 than I have in BC2. Though I agree on the getting stuck part, im always getting stuck on rocks and stuff, its annoying  lol

MW2s knife pretty much teleports you to your enemy. BC2s knife lunges you forward but if any small movements are made by your enemy, your knifing animation cant be stopped and youre a dead man. And sometimes the knife just simply does not register.

Yeah dude, I get that all the time on MW2 where my knife doesn't register or else i lunge past the guy for no reason at all. Even when i come up behind someone who is camping or something, ive just stuck to shooting them in the back because im scared of how unreliable the knife is.

this just made me loose all faith in this post.....go play battlefield 1942 thats as buttersmooth and far more poslished than modern rehash turd 2....by a fair margin oh and newsflash even tho its what nearly 8 years old still has a stronger sense of community.

And are you approaching windows like MW2 cause the jumping and climbing system is more realistic..Seriously doubt if you were an engineer you could climb through a winow with a Carl Gustav or even a Barret 50.cal tbh.

Also im sensibg but hurt person who does not get the concept of bullet drop in relation to gravity oh boy how physics is a wonderful thing that was sorely neglected by Infinity ward and more likely activisions idiotic race for profits thus releasing an under developed game WHICH colud have done with a couple months in the oven.

No actually Im pretty damn good at BC2 and I have no problems with bullet drop. I just hate how the game is so clunky and full of problems. But you sound like the ultimate BC2 defender. Its a game man. If it has problems, just admit it and hope they get fixed. Theres no point in defending a game or a developer. If everyone just denied these problems to make a game look better than another game, those problems would never be fixed.

all im going to say is turn up your sesitivity and read what i said...guess you dont know much about the militarly....seriously a Carl Gustave AT is masive. Its not clunky in any sense of the word. Its more realistic once you realise its not a twich shooter where you need a tourettes twitch to be hyper awesome at it then you get what i mean.Trust me im a little bit of a gun nut when im not playing games or bass i actually am planning to join th RAF so i need to brush up as much as possible on most stuff.

The game is fun, but admittedly full of glitches and bugs. From the freezing and server issues, to odd graphical oddities. It isn't very polished, but its nothing some updates couldn't fix, and all that matters now is that the game and gameplay itself is captivating and excellent.

Dude Im not talking about a Carl Gustav or an RPG being too long and causing you to get stuck in the window. That doesnt even happen in this game. Im talking about simply getting stuck while trying to get through a window. DICE even said this was a real problem.

Edit: You seriously think DICE took into account the size of a weapon while entering doors and windows? In that case all the Carl Johnsons would be getting stuck while running into buildings to reload thier CJ.

All im going to say is why climb through a window when theres a perfectly good door (half the time neither is there anyway) -___- and links pleaase to said statement. No links means no proof meanes rumour in my eyes.

There are 1000 reasons to jump through a window instead of running around to the front of the street and walking through the door. Avoiding death is one of them. And here is the proof. Ctrl + f. Then type "stuck".

Possible to get stuck half way trying to jump through certain windows, have to die or suicide to get out:Being researched (unlikely fix).

FYI key word is certain.

Well its a big enough problem for them to research it and post it in their list of known problems. And besides, getting stuck in windows is the VERY LEAST of my problem. But it has happened to me a few times and theres nothing you can do but wait for someone to shoot you or shoot the window frame.

Just answer one question. Do you agree BC2 is unpolished and needs more work?

Its not a bug i have run acrosss...But generally i hate the approach people take to this game most treat it like MW2 and whine bout it's a totally diffrent approach to modern warfare imho for me its like comparing Placebo to Nirvana :S thats where a lot of these supposed glitches and problems really stem from thats my take really CoD4 and its successors have really dumbed down and convoluted a lot of the FPS mechanics.

Seriously i hate when people dont spot on BFBC2 or heck even work as a team and just snipe and we get annihilated on conquest.Part of these problems is down to people treating it as if it were MW2 tbh thats how i see it.I mean look at the size of some windows in some places in BFBC2 i really doubt a full grown soldier could it through them with gear tbh unless they dived which i couldnt see hapening.

last night i landed a shot worth 367 marksmanship points on ARICA HARBOUR, i dont see how anyone could bash the bullet drop. it took me three shots to adjust to the right setting, and then boom headshot! then again i am playing it on the pc where it does not have autoaim and i dont have a clunky controller

For a modern multiplayer game it is unbelievably polished for most of the part, considering the insane amount of complexities it has. Be it the technicals or the balancing act. I don't think many people here actually understand how difficult it is pulling off what it currently is. Though there are some pretty poor netcode issues here and there, I have to say.
