I actually (somewhat) liked SA2B and Sonic Heroes. Yes, there were some bugs and a ton of camera issues, there were some fun moments. Maybe I just like that feeling of going at high speeds when you're really high in the air (like grinding on rails).

I'm semi sorta kinda not really hyped for sonic unleased.

Anyways, what about you people?

I liked some of SA2B, snowboarding down San Francisco was a blast! But other than that, what kept me to the game was the Chaos... I wasted so much time on Chaos.

When they first came out on the Dreamcast I loved Sonic adventure 1 and 2.

After replaying them on the Gamecube though...they haven't aged well to say the least.

The one one the Dreamcast was decent, but it was the Dreamcast, everything was at least decent, if not amazing.

I didn't like Sonic Adventures. The last Sonic game I played was Sonic 3 + Sonic and Knuckles and it was one massive epic long awesome amazing game. Every Sonic game had gotten exponentially better each time imo. Then I played Sonic Adventures and its was like... i'm not enjoying some of this. I've never not enjoyed any moment in a Sonic game prior to that. The feeling turned me off to the franchise and I haven't looked back since.

That new Sonic game looks nice. If they completely removed all the story stages and took it back to the Genesis and Sega CD days... this game will be a must buy for me.

The Sonic Adventures and Sonic Heroes were nice games. Shadow the Hedgehog was terribly gimmicky, though not too too bad. I've played the Xbox 360 Sonic the Hedgehog game though, and the story is not only messed up, though I could barely control him smoothly many times and the camera didn't help that.

I have yet to play a single 3D sonic game that I liked. I have given everyone of them a try and all have disappointed.

I enjoyed them all to an extent, including Shadow the hedgehog. SA1 and SA2 were great. Only exception is Secret Rings, what a god awful game

I thought The Secret Rings was decent. Worth a rental but not worth full price because every level requires annoying trial and error.

Both the Sonic Adventures I loved, I would love a next gen SA3 to be honest, more than the other games, Heroes was fun because I actually think espeon is a badass, but Shadow is my main 'hog so as long as he's in it I'm cool. Knuckles rules too, Sonic himself is also awesome, but alas. The new sonic is looking awesome. But I really want a next gen Megaman X.

Yes. I love the Dreamcast originals. Heroes and Secret Rings were also very underrated. Shadow and Sonic '06 suck though.

The Gamecube versions were terrible. The camera and controls got worse, and they introduced many more glitches and frame rate issues.

I liked the old Sonic 3D Blast when I was little. I had it on PC. Never cared for the other 3D sonics much.

Sonic Adventure was my favourite because of the free roaming adventure field and the levels were nicely designed. Playing as Sonic was the best the only thing I hated was playing as Big and Amy to slow.

I'll have to agree with the majority of the people here, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 were good, but all of the others were meh. On the other hand Sonic Unleashed is looking pretty awesome :D

i dont think its any coincidence that the last good sonic games were ones which were designed for sega's own consoles.... do you think its that they have lost ambition after they lost that much money? maybe they lost large ammounts of there good developers? Or they just need quick easy cash rather than spending years slaving over the same game!

I love sonic but you cant imagine the team coming out with a game which rivals SMG now =/

some were ok. i personally don't think sonic translates into 3D as well as Mario does since it's a platformer based around speed.

I liked SA, SA2, and SH. I also really like SSR. Yeah, they had their problems that seemed to get worse as the series went along, though SSR set a lot of things right, but they were fun, and a blast when you played as Sonic. Sonic Unleashed, now...that looks incredible.

I really want to play Adventure 2.

Yep. I thought Sonic Adventure 1&2 were better than the 2D ones.
