Did anyone here ever cancel a pre-order after a review score?

Im thinking about cancelling forza 4 because i was expecting a 9.5 score, anyone else in the same boat? I think i did the same for splinter cell conviction but it ended up being one of my favorite games ever after i bought it a couple months later.Firstinstimct

I only pre-order games i want 100%. Did not pre-order BF3 and after the beta im not even buying it.

Most sites by a very large margin scored FM4 AAA and quite a few scored it AAAA so you may want to consider that before canceling.

FM4 got mugged here probably just make make the cows happy for a short while. :twisted:

Nope. When I preorder something, it's because I want it, not because I think it's going to get high scores.

Nope, I have never cancelled a pre-order, regardless of the score it got. I don't see why I would. I also do not see why people look at anything below a 9 as a bad score. A 7 is a good score.

I cancelled my Rage pre order but not because of the score. I did it because the PC version was s*** at launch and I didn't feel like dealing with it. I get it later on though

no i buy what i want to buy and my opinion based on previews/videos is more than enough for me to make an educated decision whether i will like the game or not. A score is just a score. I feel sorry for anyone who lets someone else decide whether you get a game or notcampzor

Same here. I buy whatever looks appealing to me. I can tell whether the game is good, whether i will enjoy the game just based on what i've seen. 99% of the time im right. The score it gets is just a number, a very irrelevent number.

Nope, I never preorder a game unless I 100% know I will like it. Like arkham city or BF3 for instance.

I was talking to the staff in Game Stop, we were talking about Fallout. I said I really enjoy that game. They said RAGE was almost just like it. So I pre-ordered. I have read some reviews and I am going to go cancel my pre-order. It is just a FPS. But this is the first time I have ever canceled a pre-order. I will look into a game a little more before pre-ordering from now on.

Ace Combat : Assault Horizon. was gonna wait on reviews, and seeing how i tend to take Kevin VanOrd's words for gold on game reviews i'm gonna wait till Ace Combat is in the bargain bin or rent before i bother playing for it. No need to spend 60 bucks on it.

I would be more concerning about the lack of any big improvements than the actual score.
