doesn't the game with the best story go to mw3 though? russian dude kills everything and blows up 'murica? u.s.a ftw? i really think you're right on killzone 3, resistance 3, and socom 4; those games have such deep and compelling narratives. but i have to say mw3 will have them beat. it's like a michael bay movie and he's a really good directorprinceofshapeir

Well COD, is mainly based on the SAS, so i wouldnt say "murica ftw", you should try playing the SP maybe if you dont now much about SP;). And yep, KZ2, R3 and S4, have one of the best SP's and stories in an FPS game this year, Socom 4 could be more polished of for the MP i felt it was a bit incomplete with the lack of character customizations i love the socom series for, but it's good enough, the rest have spectacular MP's. Who the hell is michael bay? meh, i could care less for hollywood or cinema.

Don't know about that, but it is my goty so far this year. Skyrim will probably bump Portal 2 down to second place though.

as fun it was, but GOTY? lol! keep kidding yourself. the contender of GOTY has to be with 1 of following elements, 1. great production value 2. great graphic 3. clever and innovative design 4. reasonable length/alot of content 5. great replay value. as far as I concern, protal 2 only got 3 and 4, and there are handful games out there got 2 of them and more.

The real GOTY material so far aka have more than 4 of those --> dark souls, BF3 and skyrim, so only bet your money on one of the three

I'm not sure about confirmed GOTY, but Portal 2 is my GOTY winner for this year so far.

I really could care less about GS's GOTY award.....they lost all credibility when they awarded GOTY to Demon's Souls over Uncharted 2. If not that, then when they awarded that broken glitchfest Red Dead Redemption GOTY last year. No game with that many glitches should have even been considered for GOTY.

One thing is for sure. PORTAL 2 was really a GREAT GAME. I hope it wins GOTY. Along with Deus Ex or the Witcher 2.

Okay I love Playstation, I prefer it over anything else. But seriously... saying Killzone 3, Resistance 3 and Socom 4 have the best stories of the year? I hope you're joking. If not... than I have lost all faith in humanity.

Keep in mind, I think Valve is a meh developer. The only games from them I have ever enjoyed are Portal 1 and 2. But even those in my opinion do not deserve ANY GOTY awards. Just saying.
