Did FF 13 have the worst cast of the recent FF games?(7-12)

In my eyes, yes. Snow, Hope, Black dude and the two lesbians. Awful dull lifeless obnoxious characters. I can't even remember their names.

Compared to the likes of Yuna, Auron, Vivi, Cid, Balthier. Damn.

When did they stop making good characters? What went wrong.
