Did gt5p Really sell 1 million copies on preorder alone in europe

I find that hard to believe that gt5p with only 4-5 million ps3s in europe could manage 1 million preorders, wasnt it just some new zealand sony rep that said it, maybe the guy doing the interview took what the rep said out of context, because you think it would be bigger news 1 million preorders and allbigLLL

GT in europe does really well so it might be possible... I'm one of those who did the pre-order as many of my friends...

the last gran turismo games were not very good.there are a lot other games that are better now like forza motorsport.even the graphics are not the best.just see project gotham racing 4 and you will see it.it is only a demo too.just wait for the real game and if it is good get it.there is no reason to get a demo and hyped for a game that later may turn out to be not so good..

Racing is only second to soccer in Europe. Grand Theft Auto pales in comparison to pure racing games such as F1, Gran Turismo, Forza and Project Gotham.

So, it wouldn't surprise me that Gran Turismo in a Europe supportive of Sony is purchasing Sony's headlining racing game.

Gran Turismo is very popular in Europe, but GTA still outsells it.

what i have seen so far about this game has not impressed me like other racing games.i believe that the time when only gran turismo games existed and were the best racing games has ended.heroofwinds1

Personally i checked PGR 4 and Forza 2 and both are great but dont come close to the experience the GT series delivered and checked the GT5P japanese version and its by far better than the competition had to offer...

GT series has always been and will remain the best racing title on any platform

Gran Turismo is very popular in Europe, but GTA still outsells it.

They are different, GT is for racing fans while GTA is also story-driven and action/adventure title along the driving... it sells more because it appeals to a wider audience...

lmao :lol: Damage control. Sorry, but even GT4 had better graphics than Forza, and even the car model detail. The overall artstyle of Forza though was better. Have a look at the NYC track in GT4. When a demo provides online, a large proportion of cars, being able to modify cars, and a few tracks, its a very big demo and worth every penny. I mean serious, its only £17, thats NOTHING.

iam not a fanboy and never was.i play videogames because i like them and because they give me great experiences.iam a gamer a lot of years and i have a wii now and i play xbox 360 and ps3 very often so i can have a good opinion.you can not compare the realism and driving control of forza motorsport 2 and gtr2 on pc with gran turismo games.gran turismo 4 was also very bad if you see the poor ai and the very bad antialiazing and control isuues.it still has the quantity but it lacks the quality other games have.iam not impressed by some anouncements and demos anymore.iam also not impressed by what i have seen already for this game.the only sure thing is that it will make huge sales even if it is good or bad.i do not think that it will be something special and i can not wait to play mario kart wii..heroofwinds1

And who's to decide that...you?! Don't make me laugh. First of, there hasn't been a next-gen installment of GT yet so you can't compare the latest Forza with GT4. And second, GT is still king in sales wich means that people likes it more wich means that it is the king of racing games.
