Not really, and that is not to say that I wasn't interested before or even at this point.
From what I have seen of the game, I trully could be more impressed... So what I'm saying is... that there are a lot of other PS3 games that actually interest me more then Killzone 2. Not to say that Killzone 2 does not look interesting, because it does. I actually enjoyed the first one and this one looks to be better so...
It's nice for sure but I'm mainly getting the console for my MGSIV, GTAIV, FFXIII, and GT5.
Games like Uncharted and Heavenly Sword look sweet though, as does Killzone.
Killzone is added value, but the must-have, killer apps for me personally are MGS4 and FFXIII.fuzzysquash
Fuzzysquash knows what its about!
i'm hyped for kz2 but nothing imo will be a mile as good as mgs4 and FFXIII. I wanted to get ps3 as soon as i saw the first trailers for these two games.
Even though KZ2 looks freaking amazing and plays great so far, most hardcore gamers are gonna wait and see how it turns out. Alot of people werer convinced just from the debut though. Next year I see it being a killer-app as the casuals will be amazed at just the graphics and the blitzkreig of marketing Sony will do (not that it won't be a great game).
Myself...I already have a PS3 so KZ is just further value to my investment :D (it would convince me if I didn't have one though).
no, but I was convinced by a combination of Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, Lair, Infamous, Little Big Planet, and Echochrome.
What really sold me on sony this year, was that they, unlike MS, actually showed off their exclusives (timed or otherwise), whereas MS showed off CoD4 and Rock Band.
Killzone was never about graphics. It was always about the Gameplay. Lilac_Benjie
The hype surrounding Killzone says otherwise. The infamous E3 05 trailer focused solely on graphics.
And in terms of gameplay, the first Killzone was lacking in that department as well. From the repetitive sound bytes to the wierd spawing of enemies and the different playable characters that really didn't amount to anything.
That said... I wouldn't get a PS3 for Killzone 2. There are other, better reasons.

No I don't buy a system for 1 game alone. KZ2 looks alright but I think once the dust settles a bit it wont be as hyped as it is now, but anyway I will be buying a PS3 soon enough, just not for Killzone. I will probably rent Killzone to get a chance to see if its any good then maybe buy it if it has some good online.
[QUOTE="Spartan070"]I was always planning on getting one so technically no.:PHeil68me too, but im disappointed at sonys business strategy.
LOL'd
killzone 1 was hyped to be the ultimate halo killer... killzone 2 is obviously being hyped the exact same way.
the best indicator of the future is the past... and except for the nice hype wagon (the same one that the first one had) kz 2 has nothing going for it.
there's a reason why the developers aren't letting anyone play this game yet.
