Did Sony pay for the extra fighters in UFC 2010?

Yea, just wondering if Sony handed over cash forthe extra content (and if so how much)or THQ gave it to them as a free gift for Sony treating them nicely in one way or another(e.g. letting small developerslike Media Molecule make stuff for theirplatform)?

what does it matter either way. what would you do with that knowledge

With UFC being the fastest growing sport in the world, I wouldn't underestimate the games, sales wise at least. I really enjoyed UFC 2009. 2010 seems more or less the same, but seeing as I don't own 2009 anymore, I'll probably be picking this up.

Well the game should have no issue selling on competitor consoles so to make the ps3 division more profitable they need to give it more of a selling point.

The obvious answer is yes (most likely). I'm surprised so many are saying no.

Probably, but it shouldn't be surprising. Ms also does this a lot, even more than sony I believe.

Maybe they were just able to add more content with the BluRay disc. My guess is the fighters will be added as DLC on Live a little bit after release or something. Developers need to take advantage of the BluRay disc a little more and this will drive sales for the PS3 version. They can eat their cake too by subsidizing any of that cost by adding content to Live, which plays to the strength of the Microsoft platform as well.

Win-Win for everyone in a way. I mean, sure 360 only owners will be paying more for the game, but they've already demonstrated that they are willing to pay for stuff that is free, anyways. What's the harm?

Well the problem with the question is the OP asked if Sony Paid for the extra fighters, and the word pay implies money.

I doubt Sony paid money for the extra content.

Was there some incentive....probably and most likely.
