Well have to see the true numbers later when they come out but from everything so far it was sure not a huge success.rybe1025
Yea.....If it was a huge success/sellout sony would already be doing press releases about it/it would be all over the internet that you cant find one at all. Instead were getting a mixed bag of reception. MAYBE a couple of stores sold out. The vast majority did not although they are still reporting a decent amount sold. But in NO WAY is a sellout/smashing success....Just a so so launch.
Well, that depends.
Do you define giving out free $1000 hdtvs at a launch to get people to buy your console a flop?
Not exactly what happened. Sony gave those TVs away to people who already were lined up to purchase the PS3 - the TVs were in no way an incentive to purchase. As for the question... it seems it was a launch full or extremes: It flopped horribly in a lot of places, it seems to have done well on England.Well, that depends.

Did the people lined up (all 4 of them) know they were getting the TV's or was it a surprise thing when they got their PS3s?Well, that depends.

As far as i can tell, it was unannounced and a total surprise.Well, that depends.
