Yea.....If it was a huge success/sellout sony would already be doing press releases about it/it would be all over the internet that you cant find one at all. Instead were getting a mixed bag of reception. MAYBE a couple of stores sold out. The vast majority did not although they are still reporting a decent amount sold. But in NO WAY is a sellout/smashing success....Just a so so launch.

Not exactly what happened. Sony gave those TVs away to people who already were lined up to purchase the PS3 - the TVs were in no way an incentive to purchase. As for the question... it seems it was a launch full or extremes: It flopped horribly in a lot of places, it seems to have done well on England.

Judging from what I'm hearing on the net and news stories on You Tube, it seems like the launch Sony had wanted was a failure but not a flop. The system is selling but nowhere's near as much as it should. Sony has only themselves to blame. It baffles me how much they are screwing up.
