Did you buy a ps3 for the games or the technology?

to be honest I already had a 360 so I wanted a PS3 for Bluray & a few select exclusives and that's why I bought it

At first the tech... just because I'm that big of a gamer. BUt now it has more games than i can play!!

This, I wanted to play some games and I got a Blue ray player in the deal.

TC really likes saying disgust.

I bought it for a few reasons,

1. It only cost me $150 (plus tax)
2. I hated watching SD movies on a HDTV
3. Some of the exclusives interest me

(exclusive) Games, I have a PC for everything else (and games lol). That said, the blu ray is indeed a nice addition.

i bought it because they were about to stop production on all the good skus and i knew i wanted one everntually but did not want one of the gimped non bc, non card reader, non usb port models.

The exclusive games. I haven't touched my Xbox 360 ever since I got my PS3.

If it's *significantly weaker... than yeah i'll probably go xbox... but FIRST MS has to prove that the dang thing wont break on me.... twice....out of warranty... ugh... That goes for EVERYONE i know that bought a 360 before the slims.

Really? God of War III was great, but Uncharted 2 and MGS4 are much better ;). Uncharted 1, Little Big Planet, and more are quite fun as well.

I got it for neither I got it cause I alwasy get all the systems each generation.

I boughta ps3 because I grew upon the ps2 so I was expecting to see it's game sequels continue on the ps3. And, altho the 360 controller is more confortableto hold in my hands,I find theDualshockcontrollers to bemuch moreresponsive despite its trigger design flaw. Free online was an incentive.

I mainly bought it to complement Nintendo's first party on Wii.PS3 has all the multiplats and some great exclusives as well. The inFAMOUS games are fantastic and I love Devil May Cry 4. So now I have access to the best first party devs (nintendo), great exclusives from sony, and all the great multiplats this gen. I'm set.

in short, it was the games that made me buy the system.

I have bought 11 games so far in about 1 year of owning the console and only two games dissapointed me; Uncharted 2 and the Sly Collection
