Did you guys miss this? Gears of War 2: 4 player Co-op

I seem to get overly excited about 4 player co-op. But truth is it's hard for me to get the same 4 ppl to beat it from begining to end. But we'll see. I'm pretty sure when this game is released, 90 percent of my friendslist will be playing so it won't be hard to find someone. waynehead895

yea i agree. insane was a breeze with two people and with four, i can't even imagine how easy it will be

Did you see the gameplay vid? Gears of War is actually tactical now! Four player co-op will give you so many badass options in terms of getting through levels. Picture a friend and a locust being in a chainsaw battle and you come up and slice the locust up, while your other 2 friends are flanking.

Go play Halo 3 with 4 player co-op then you will understand. With 4 each charging in at different directions and working together its really fun, even more so than 2 player co-op.

I personally wasnt extremly excited when I heard about Halo 3's 4 player co-op, but once I played it I found it very fun.

So if a "mediocre" game can pull of 8 player co-op what's so special about 4?

4 is a reasonable number. You still tear up the map even on the hardest setting and it's still some what challenging.

I'm glad Epic isn't trying to boast bigger kahunas.

8 is going be easy mode and people fighting over weapons and health packs. Oh yay the fun.

Yess!! This is great news :D Does it say if it will be 4 player split screen or 2 player split screen and connect over live for 4 players? Either way it's going to rock !!

That is a good point but i do agree the levels will be bigger because of cliffy saying "BIGGER, better, and more badars."

Right on! Gears of War is an awesome game whether it was played on Single player or 2 player co-op. 4 player co-op is just going to rule, especially when you are fighting LARGE swarms of locusts. This game is so going to rock! :D

Anyways, this game will be epic!

How about we all thank Halo 3 for raising the bar on this one. Sure it was not the first, but I'm sure it was a big motivator.
