not that bad. My guess is that a 4850- 8800gt will be able to run it mostly . They recommend a 5700 series bs dx11 because dirt 2 support dx11 features so its obvious they will recommend a dx11 card and the performance of 5770 is about the performance of a 4850-4870 but with added dx11 features so my guess like i said a midrange card like the 4850 will be able to play it at high settings but without the added dx11 features

To max a new, cutting edge PC game you need a $150 GPU. No way!!!

Dirt and GRID ran and looked very good on low end 2-core and x1950, 4850 maxes them out. I doubt this will be much different, it just scales higher with some DX11 effects crammed on top of it.

Might be true but probably that is recomemded because of DX11, so only HD57xx and HD58xx will obviously do the work. I guess that something like a 8800GT will let you max it without DX11, resolution aside.

Just like DX10, DX11 starts more like a system hog than anything else. Let's just hope this time around games are made around it, so it can properly evolve.

I would bet money on how my Q6600 @ 3.6, 4 gigs of ram and radeon HD 4850 will run the game with all on max except DX11 tesselation and get at least 40 FPS

Recommended requirments are just that, recommended. They are not what is required to run the game.

It's funny how console gamers put a spin on system requirements. If it's high they start crying about how expensive pc gaming is. If it's low they start complaining about how crysis is the only pc game that looks awesome.

By the rational of some of the people in here I shouldn't be able to get good settings in Dragon Age, because it recommends a quad core were as I only have a dual.

Yet I'm playing the game maxed out at 1920x1200, perfectly acceptable frame rates.

Why do people post recommend requirements and try to pass them off as minimum? Recommended is for MAXIMUM visual appeal, it is not necessary, you know what's the double standard with consolities... their little crap hardware is essentially playing the game on MEDIUM.. yet they say that PC gamers must play the game on the HIGHEST or it doesn't count.

it's the dragon age thing all over again yet alot of people max the game on less hardware than the recommended.

Most of the time you never need to meet the recommended reqs to make it run good, and I hear that Dragon Age is case in point. Those are if you want to max it to the max, DX11 and all. It's entirely unnecessary.

Due to lack of standards and optimization, you need to meet the recommended specs to have the best chance of running the game adequately.

Of course they are going to recommend a DX11 card for DX11 effects, but that doesn't mean it can't be maxed out everywhere else on earlier hardware. My rig will destroy this game...minus the DX11 of course.

That's the recommended requirements which is about rgiht considering it's using DirectX 11 and is far superior in graphics to the consoles.
