[QUOTE="Ravensmash"]Can't you take it in turns?butisitbluray
his xbox and gamertag dont have the VIP PASS!!!
Then use it on the same system. If you have one copy between you then only one of you can play it at once anyway.[QUOTE="butisitbluray"][QUOTE="Ravensmash"]Can't you take it in turns?Ravensmash

I mean, that's almost as ridiculous as paying MS for Live gold twice so two people in your house can have their own online account.
PC superior race, once again.MonsieurXwhat does that have to do with the fact that the poster and his son cannot both play the game they paid for?
Anyway I am sorry man shame these companies dont think this through
I know my sisters family has the same case in xbox's and others do as well
just shows you what a stupid idea that is implemented to prevent the sale of used games

All this trouble so Codemasters might be able to make an extra $10 later
[QUOTE="MonsieurX"]PC superior race, once again.RavensmashCan you use the same copy on two Steam accounts? Yes, play in offline mode on the other.
PC superior race, once again.MonsieurXYes the PC is Superior.thanx for stating the obvious. that still doesnt answer his question
I really hate that... first you have to pay to have 2 xbl account on ONE xbox in ONE household. Then you have to pay extra so you can both play online on seperate accounts on the same console.
even though ive only seen this happen a couple of times in games,i still have to ask..I really hate that... first you have to pay to have 2 xbl account on ONE xbox in ONE household. Then you have to pay extra so you can both play online on seperate accounts on the same console.

That the son is going to move out and still own all his stuff instead of having to lose it all.
Still people yell about the fact that Microsoft wants people to own all their content themselves
I don't understand it

i dont understand it either. if anyone can find out if the PS3 Version does this as well, please post it in this thread. because im getting it soon and i need to know what version to get.Wait, do you have to pay a fee on top of XBL to play Dirt 3 online?C_Rulewell if you bought the game you dont have to pay a fee if im not mistaken.
but the VIP pass only covers one gamertag on the 360.
no word on the ps3 version yet
PC superior race, once again.MonsieurXLOL!! What?!? I would never waste my time playing a racing game on a PC. The racing games I want to play aren't even on the PC.

Yeah.. I don't like that either. On the old XBox, you could set someone up as a guest and they could still play online with you. I don't think you can do that anymore. If you have XBox Live hooked up on yourXBox 360, anyone with a GamerTag should be able to play online. It really shouldn't be by Gametag only. One good thing is the DLC games can be played by everyone, not just me.[QUOTE="C_Rule"][QUOTE="XanderZane"] LOL!! What?!? I would never waste my time playing a racing game on a PC. Ah yes, MS... helping gamers build personal equity.
This is an incredibly weak defense.

Yeah me too, I've never seen anything like this. It really stinks for the TC. I know we have 4 gamers at our house and we all have logins to our PS3s and share games frequently. Very interested to see how this works. Actually though this does bring up a good point. It's totally ridiculous you have to pay seperate LIVE fees for people in the same house. I got a 360 for $100 on a black friday deal, but returned it when I found out it was going to cost me more in Live fees than I paid for the system itself.I wonder how that works on the ps3. Usually, any user can access any content that any user has paid for/d/l'd on the system, so I imagine this would be the same. But, EA has their own ID they use, so I don't know.

CorrectI feel your pain TC. Usually on the PS3 most games share all content but my brother recently bought SOCOM 4 and only he can access the pre-order and brand new content that came with the game. I've never had this issue with any other game.
I have yet to buy a game with an online VIP pass so I'm not sure it the same would happen. Hopefully not.
