Dirt Rally released date confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One versions!

Unsurprisingly, Codemasters has confirmed console versions on current generation for their PC Early Access hit, DiRT Rally. Both versions will release simultaneously on April 5th, 2016.

"Following this success on PC and a vocal demand from consumers, we are delighted to announce that Dirt Rally will be available on consoles on April 5, 2016."

It's great to see developers listening to their fanbase. Both with the return to pure rally roots, and with console ports. I'm very much looking forward to this.

Lolz, can't wait to see consolites struggle with a controller on this game without assists.

Nope, consolites prefer the comfort of gaming on the sofa with a controller than wrestling with a wheel :P

I think I'll pick this up on pc rather than console. Dirt rally just strikes me much more as a rare game that loses out on console.

Only necessary for sim games, and what is the true home for racing sims? PC! assetto corsa, iracing, rfactor etc etc...

The home for Dirt Rally will still remain at PC. I fail to see the negatives to the PC crowd over this game porting to consoles really.

When did I say it was a negative? I was just joking around :P I have playing the early access on PC with my 360 controller and it's very, very bad to control.. I found my old fanatec to be much better even though it didn't have proper FFB at that time...

At least a steering wheel set up is always an option. I'll probably pick one up before Dirt Rally launches.

BTW the game is now available on PC. Early Access ended today. Can't wait to play it. PC ends 2015 with another bang.

My steup isn't good, cables are all over the place XD, still missing the gear shift too..

What is your budget? Do you want the 3 pedals and the gear shift?

Ideally with the pedals and shifter. Paddle shifters are okay, not the best option, but it'll do.

I don't play consoles anymore, but this is a good example of how much power the dollar has in the industry, and that's something we can use to our advantage.

The only thing we can control, has the most control. lol

What about the WiiU? This is a game i'd like to play with WiiU pad integration, it's great as a rear view mirror.

Funny master race hermits are so contentious about this game being PC designed, from the looks of the course design it pales in comparison to previous intallments like Dirt 2 and Dirt 3.

I'll pick this up on PC now that its out of EA, been a lack of good driving games on PC this year so this should fill that void nicely.

I remember that I managed to be good on Richard Burns Rally with an all digital gamepad from back then. Now with triggers it should be even easier.

Now I just need a sale to buy it at around early access price.

Huge fan of the Colin MacRae and Dirt games from last Gen, so I'll probably get this next year.

So PC exlusive for 4 months then. Not bad considering most consoles exclusives don't last that much nowadays before coming to PC.

@tushar172787: Rallispot Challenge 2 is the best and most accurate rally car game to date and it was an Xbox exclusive.

Been wanting this game for a while but I've been away from my PC.

Now not sure if I'll get it for PS4 or stick with wanting it for PC.
