I heard the PC demo wasn't optimised too well, there was lots of complaining on the Dirt board.
Worked great for me. Never go by PC forums, you always get the guys with 12 year old PC's complaining that their Voodoo 2 card can't handle 'insert x game'.

Yeah, I know, its just that they could have thrown in some rallycross tracks and Ice racing and had a fun game for the MP fans without sacrificing realism.
I'm still bitter over EA buying DICE and breaking up the Rallisport Challenge 2 team. Dirt was a must buy for me until I learned about the time trial racing.
I think Dirt will be better on the 360 because more past games ended up being better on the 360 compared to the PS3. An example would be Fear (more glitchs and no mic for online multiplayer) or Virtua Tennis (360 only for online multiplayer).
When does the PS3 version come out? Is it later than the 360 version?

Well i'm running a BFG OC2 8800 GTX with the 158.48 beta drivers and its smooth as a peach. In fact, me and my friend did a screen to screen comparison from my PC to my 360 (hooked into the same 42" LCD, just flick between inputs) and i have to say.....the 360 version was close to the PC but lacked distance detail, some smoothness in places and a lack of fine detail damage wise on the cars during the race.
We were both impressed by it though on both platforms, but ended up playing the PC one.

Vista PC... for $600 you can build a better PC that will rock the game graphically in ways the PS3 cannot. Add on a 360 controller for solid controls, and you're set.

CNN "Best Controller of All Time" - it's an excellent controller, other than the D-Pad, it's quite frankly perfect. PC gamers like to use Wheels / Peddles or gamepads. Since the game will be built for the 360 as well, it should work fairly well with the 360 gamepad on PC.

Simply put it is the best controller, not to mention the 360 has the wireless wheel. That will be fun when combined with Dirt!! Not as fun as Forza 2 though. :DÂ
If they fix the retarded physics, the PC will actually win, has the best wheels to play with. As for consoles, well its all down to what steering device works best i guess, the xbox wheel sucks arse tho.

Bad grammar aside, the Xbox wheel is great! Have you used it for Forza 2 or TDU or PGR3? I think not or you wouldn't be bashing it. Very comfortable and a lot of fun! You should try it instead of bashing it.Â

Have you even used the 360 wheel? Its great. It would have been better with 900 degree motion but I can live without it.

I like the rumble in all the games but its my favorite for racing, I look so far down the track that sometimes I drop the wheels off the road and rumble makes me aware I did it.

If they develop the game on the PS3 and then port it to the 360, the game would be virtually identical for both systems. The reason why PS3 has gotten such bad ports is because the PS3 has very unconventional architecture. If games were developed on the PS3 then made for the 360, it would be very easy to port it and not much would be different.
I'm not into driving games, but when I do play them, I like the rumble effect to help you determine when you are off-road. So I say 360 for rumble (and custom soundtracks, another important feature while playing driving games.)
