DK Jungle Climber reviewed. (56k warning)

Wha? DK Jungle Climber? How random can you get? Well it exist and I am here to remind you of it!

What score did it get?

The basic L/R gameplay of the GBA original's bulked up with more stuff to do. And it's all tied together with a handy and helpful tutorial.

It's so much nicer playing this game in the Rare rendered ****than the cartoony look of the GBA.

Happy, upbeat sounds and music that attempt the Donkey Kong Country ****/p>

The game's simple in concept and control, but still a lot of fun. And can get tough as nails at times.

Several levels of core gameplay, plus several unlockable challenges and secrets. And single cartridge multiplayer!

What was a very good Game Boy Advance title turns out to be an even better Nintendo DS game. The development team stuck to its guns with the original concept and fleshed it out with new levels, new elements, and more stuff to beef up the variety and to toughen things up. The lack of variety is what hurt King of Swing in the long run, and while Jungle Climber shares the same core mechanic that makes the game just a tad repetitive, the designers injected some great ideas into the original to bulk up the fun.

So, when a game scores well on IGN it doesn't matter. But when a game scores poorly, IGN is the source of ownage.

Thats almost bass-ackwards. The Banjo titles were N64's best platformers.

DK is the only Nintendo games I just don't like. I don't know why I have tried most of them but I think they all suck.

Funny that Microsoft paid Nintendo a mountain of cash to buy Rare yet they really got nothing from it.

Perfect Dark: PDZ is good but overkill after 10 years waiting for a true sequel.

Goldeneye: Nope can't touch that. EA has the Bond license and plans on milking it. All the good folks moved on a started Free Radical now making PS3 games.

Donkey Kong: Nope can't touch that AGAIN. Nintendo owns DK license.

Banjo Kozooie - Great game back in the day but now looks like BK: Forever. A release any time this decade would be very generous.

Viva Pinata - WOW makes me wanna buy a $400 console just to play it really?

What happened to DK? It's like Nintendo has just left him at the side of the road, and only picks him up to make a handheld game. I want a new DK Wii game! And one that does not consist of using bongos.luigigreen

The DK bongo games came out later in GC's cycle, I think we will see a DK game of some sort on the wii eventually. Remember, the wii has to last another 4 years yet so they've got to save some franchises (I'm looking at a pikmin sequal!)

Confirmation of Banjo-Threeie: 2000, on the game Banjo-Tooie at the very end.

More info of Banjo-Threeie: 2001, gonna come to Gamecube after they finished Donkey Kong Racing.

First delay: 2002, Microsoft buys Rare and Donkey Kong Racing is cancelled. Kameo and PDZ are moved from GCN to Xbox.

Second delay: 2004, Kameo and PDZ hasn't come out. No info on Banjo.

First trailer: 2006 at X06, shows no release date.

It will come sooner or later.

Gamespot will flop it because it sucks.

Also all those saying the Donkey Kong games on the Snes were good they're not. They were all crap
