Can't be bothered to read the link, is it extra missions or something? I haven't gone back to GTA4 since finishing it, I will ignore this.Floppy_Jimlinked and the full story leads to a scan of a magazine article. An excerpt says that "such downloadable content will be making its way to the Playstation 3 version of the game" in reference to the 360 DLC. They go on for the rest of the article to talk about the Home additions and speculate on whether MS just has timed exclusivity over the content (doubtful for $50 million in my eyes) or if they are planning to make multiples of these episodes and swap exclusivity.
Yeah...that article is nearly a year old and we haven't heard so much as a whisper about PS3 GTA IV DLC since then.
An official confirmation it is not.

Oh right. This is almost an entire year old, nothing to see here.[QUOTE="Floppy_Jim"]Can't be bothered to read the link, is it extra missions or something? [QUOTE="speedsix"]Cows want the GTA and Fallout DLC soooooo bad :lol:jonnyt61Fallout DLC, yes please. GTAIV DLC? Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass. Fallout 3 is new, GTAIV is le olde. Honestly, I don't even know why people care about it :|
Because it is an entire expansion, if they loved GTA4 then they would probably look forward to it no matter how old the game is. Nothing wrong with an expansion to breathe new life into a game... happens all the time with PC and now it is becoming almost standard in console games too.

For me, expansions only ever worked well with RTS and MMORPG. Outside of that, they seem like over-priced ways to give new life to an old game. MMORPG's and RTS have extremely long lifetimes compared to other genres due to their ever changing, or extremely competitive gameplay. Fallout 3 only escapes the scrutiny from me, due to it being fairly recent. If it were say, a year old, with no extra content being added at all between then and now, I'd be... disappointed in an "expansion" or even DLC. However, if GTAIV actually did go through constant updates, and new content, it would of stayed feeling fresh the majority of the time, similar to how Burnout Paradise is constantly supported, so adding in a huge new expansion would of been great. But that isn't the case, and in most cases, people have stopped playing GTAIV, including myself. It just... feels a bit meh to me.[QUOTE="speedsix"]Cows want the GTA and Fallout DLC soooooo bad :lol:jonnyt61Fallout DLC, yes please. GTAIV DLC? Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass. It's going to be an expansion, smaller than the original game, and that's about it. The fact is, Vice City and San Andreas were complete games, and they felt it. I don't believe this DLC will be comparable. If I'm wrong, then well, I'm sure the DLC will be appreciated. I just don't see it though :|
n4g.com/ps3//News-129170.aspxCiocio7I could care less. GTA4 was a horribly repetitive game that just had the gamer run errands and do the same thing over and over for a variety of forgetable characters. Honestly them taking on some more forgetable characters and errands don't interest me in the least. I have SF4 and Killzone 2 to enjoy right before RE5. To busy to go back to that crappy game.

"Pfft that game is just out and they are releasing DLC? It should have been in the original game! I'm not buying that!" "Pfft that game has been out for ages and they are only releasing DLC now? I don't care about it any more! I'm not buying that!"
It still doesn't interest me. The Home addition is bigger than the extra content, IMO. I was almost bored by the end of playing GTA4. Playing more doesn't interest me. the characters can haul themselves to get a bite to eat and to play pool. I won't be there.PoppaGamer
So you're telling me GTA bored you more than Home?
Invest in a Wii then.

"Pfft that game has been out for ages and they are only releasing DLC now? I don't care about it any more! I'm not buying that!"blue_hazy_basicIts not an arguement against DLC. Its just people saying "hey, I played that game and I liked it or I played that game and traded it in and I am moving on to the many full sized games coming out in the next month." Both 360 and PS3 owners have SF4 and RE5 coming in the next few months. PS3 owners also have Killzone 2 coming out next month. There are alot of new games people are hyped up coming out very soon so getting excited for a game many people most likely put down or just traded in months ago is tough. Especially since Rockstar took so long to update it. The online had very little replay value compared to many other online based games and the single player mode has so many missions most don't even finish it. I am sure some GTA4 fans will eat this up but I think alot of people, especially in SW, who thrive and talk about NEW upcoming games could care less.

I could be wrong but the Home additions are free while GTA4 additions are not. So if I am gonna be bored I would rather not spend a dime.[QUOTE="Mau-Justice"][QUOTE="PoppaGamer"]It still doesn't interest me. The Home addition is bigger than the extra content, IMO. Even with DLC, GTA IV will still be boring, and overrated in my opinion.
I don't care at all about the DLC, even if it was coming to the PS3 version, I still wouldn't care.
People are still interested in this game? ZhengiIts a great game! I'm sure Wii gamers are still playing games from a long time ago aren't they?
Sorry maybe I am not understanding it. Is this just GTA stuff for Home? If so  enjoy your microtransaction small GTA stuff for Home while the 360 get 10-20 more gameplay, new bikes, new songs , and so on. You know like some real DLC not some lame Home microtransactions.
No wonder so many are saying they are not interested.
