Do any of you all use a handheld as a main console?

Did you just stop buying them for no reason, or you just lost all interest in them?

Right now my DS is my main console, this because of work, playing time has been significantly reduced so i dont have as much time as I want to play with the xbox, ps3 or pc.. Tried to do this with my psp but the long loading times and reduced library made me get a DS again and buy a big bunch of games for it and for the past couple of weeks or so I hvent even turned on any of my consoles and feeling pretty good about it, I really had forgotten how good is the ds as a system..

At this point, other than my Pc, all i have is a DS...so yeah, i guess it is my main console. That is interesting now that i think about it...

Do the psp loading times actually interfere that much that you had to buy a DS instead?

Not really I would say it is about Even though this year I used my DSi more then my Wii but that is because I just got a Handheld this year. My last handheld was in 2005 it was a GBA Sp.

No. For me handhelds have always suited me best as supplements to console gaming.

Usually, I play them the most in between releases of the bigger games.

i only have a pc and psp and i actually use my psp more for games, so yes....

but i plan on getting a new console soon

My threehousemates and I all share the same TV, so often times it's much easier to game on a handheld system (DS in my case). Also, my Wii is currently broken.

My goal is to have 100 DS games by the end of 2010, but I've bought 50 so far this year. I think I might make it before the end of the year. I can think of more than 100 games worth owning on the DS. And yeah, games are much cheaper, so it's easy to buy several at a time.

I got about 15 DS games... But i consider it my main console.
Jee 50... 80... i feel like i'm missing out.

Where on earth do you find the time to play all of those games?

I currently have 22 DS games, 11 of which are still in their original packaging.

during the brief gap between last gen and this gen I kinda used my DS as a main system. Now it's sided along with the 360.

During the 16 bit era Game Gear and PC were my systems of choice. I didn't pickup an snes until 97'.

I put the most time into my DS these days, so yes. I like $30 games.

When I was like 10 maybe but now a days they just don't interest me as much as they used to.

My DS is probably the most used console of all-time.

My issue with the DS ^^.

I couldn't imagine paying for or playing 80 handheld games. When the DS gets an epic game like Monster Hunter, I'll start playing mine again.

And my PSP used to be my main console. It's my PS3 now.

DS is main, PC is secondary and PS3 is just in case.
