Poll Do any of you use GameFly? Is it any good? (17 votes)

Yes. It is a great service. 18%
Nope. It sucks. 18%
I've never used it. 35%
I like eggs. 12%
Meh. It's so-so. 18%

Not sure if this is SW materiel, but I don't see how it would be any different from a Gamestop thread.

I was thinking about getting Gamefly.

For $22 a month, or less, I can play 2 $60 games for as long as I want, and return them at any time....(Sounds kinda stupid, right? For as long as I want...So...Forever?)

I'm not sure about the service...I've heard good things about Gamefly, and I've heard bad things. (Like how it can take 9 days or even 2-3 weeks for you to get a game.)

Has anyone here used Gamefly? What's your take on it? Would you honestly recommend it?

I prefer having a job and just buying what I want to play, then I can keep it forever and play it whenever I want without having to sacrifice something else to do so.

Good point. But Amazon isn't $22 something a month. $120, or $22?

I never used Gamefly. I prefer to buy my games instead of renting them.

I haven't had a GameFly account in over a decade (2003-'05ish) so I can't really gauge it's value nowadays. Back in the day tho I had the 2 game plan so it was pretty sweet. I really don't remember being forced to wait several weeks to play a new game, tho that seems to be the common complaint towards GF these days.

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure I stole my GBA Super Mario Bros from GameFly. It was the last game I had out and I never sent it back to them when I cancelled my subscription.

Pro: Everything. For reasonable price, you get every game.

Cons: Because you don't need to return right away, you may procrastinate, thus, not playing the game in the end.

no joke..have a friend who did this.

I tried their trial, I received Bloodborne 18 days after they said they shipped it out.

I stopped their trial then.

Hmm, well maybe the management is different these days? Honestly, what Gamefly says sounds too good to be true.

It used to be fucking great until they closed the shipping center in Austin. I used to get new releases that Wednesday. Now though it took like a week. If you have a shipping center close to you it's great, if not it blows
