A gamer that just buys systems for Madden and GTA.. what system is he going to chose? the cheaper one of course..

Plus Even though the 360 is 200 bucks cheaper.. Madden will play 2 times better..

really.. I understand cows thinking the PS3 can outsell the 360 next year.. but it doesn't stand a chance this year..

Well, outselling the 360 is out of the question in my opinion. I just don't see it happening with a $500-$600 price for the PS3. Having a better lineup is subjective.Ibacai

Nah, that was wrong. The interviewerer misinterpreted the dev, But 60 FPS is HARDLY noticeably over 30 fps. I compared the NCAA08 XBL demo to the PS3 version (Before my 360 died :cry: ), and its not too much of a difference. Nothing casuals will notice anyway

to me and the average gamer it's a huge difference because The better version is coming out on the lower priced system..

So maybe the average gamer would have chosen the madden on the more epensive console expecting it to be better but that's not going to be the case..

It's been shown VGcharts is off by about 10%, that means the PS3 could be selling lower or higher than the amount stated, BUT considering the PS3 has been selling out a few retailers VGcharts could be underestimating the sales.

How long was the 360 out before the PS3 and how many 360's are selling now. The 360 has fallen very short of what sales should be at this time and sales are not doing much now. Sony has been selling just about on schedule from the time it was released (although there have been changes made in the short time it's been out).jimm895

No.. it's selling poorly right now but come Halo3,Madden,GTA.. it's going to sell much more than the PS3 and maybe even more than the Wii if there is a price drop.

Madden will sell more on the 360, but not because its 60 fps. It will sell more because the 360 is cheaper and there is more of a install base. Averege gamers would hardly notice the difference between the 30 fps and 60 fps. I personally am picking up the PS3 version because I dont want to buy another year of live but I want to play it online lol. I played Madden in 30 fps last year on 360, wont mind doing it again.

360 sold - 1,100.00 So 360 has proven to be able to sell great at Christmas

PS3 sold - 491,000 This was the second month for the release of PS3 so there was still a ton of hype for it.

Maybe you're right about the Wii software sales but 360 has amazing games this Christmas. Halo 3 and GTAIV. 2 of the biggest series from last gen are going to cause a storm in software sales.

If Wii can beat 360 in total software sales that would truly be an outstanding achievement.

In what? Software sales? Hardware sales?

My argument is that 360 will dominate software sales because the user base is bigger than the PS3s so more people will be able to jump into Halo 3 and GTAIV.

While I think PS3 will beat 360 in total hardware sales because consumers will jump into the PS3 when they see Haze, UT3, GTAIV, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Uncharted all out this holiday season.
