Some guy in GameStop was spouting off to another guy buying a 360 for Ace Combat (and Mass Effect) yesterday about how Ace Combat 6 is coming out for the PS3 a "couple months" after the 360 release - and that there was no reason to get his 360.
I meekly replied that it already has been a couple months and that Namco had clearly stated on its site that it has absolutely no plans of bringing AC6 to the PS3. Even if they started working on a port now, it would still be a long time before it ever would be released.
The guy was getting very irritated at my response stating that Namco was working on extra content for the PS3 because Sony is the "home of Ace Combat". And I just let it go.
I know the boards were filled with "timed-release" rumors when AC6 first came out. But, wow. I was surprised that cows seriously still believe AC6 is coming to the PS3???? At what point are people going to accept the facts that it's a 360 exclusive?
AC6 will most probably go to the ps3 though, just like Eternal Sonata did.whocares4peace
Namco officially announced that months in advance though.
Namco has confirmed repeatedly that AC6 is a 360 exclusive. They would only lose money on a PS3 version when comparing Namco's PS3 sales to its 360 sales.

still its no reason to tell a guy theres no reason for him to get his 360 if he wants to play Ace Combat 6 now and mass effect which is exclusive

Well of course its not confirmed yet, and the gamestop employee was just another uninformed employee, but in all proabability AC6 will come to the ps3 in the next 12 months.

I don't think Namco is making any money on X360 sales either. Ace Combat hasn't really sold very well has it? They made a mistake not putting it on PS3 at the same time as X360. Now they won't get sales on either system.

The've repeatedly stated that they're consumed with working on AC7 and have tried their hardest to expel the rumors of AC6 going to the PS3. There are no plans of it happening. They've moved forward.
