Do multiplat releases tend to look better on PS3 or Xbox 360?

Im planning on selling my 360 for a PS3. Graphics arent the most important thing for me, but I just want to know. And could I get non super fanboyish opinions?

if you're definitely going to sell your 360 and get a ps3 what does it matter?

if we told you the answer was 360 would you change your mind? That would be pretty silly to do so just for slightly better graphics.

and yes, the track record has been that multiplats look ant play better on 360. so...have fun with your ps3.

They tend to look very similar.

If you are planning on selling your 360 for a PS3, go for it as long as you know for sure you want the PS3 exclusives more than the 360 exclusives.

Multiplats are too similar to be a determining factor.

Usually the 360 has the edge, but the differences are so miniscule that I can only see them when someone points them out.

I'm told that recently, the PS3 multiplats are looking better by exactly 0.0001567% polygons.

Ive seen it go both ways more often ive seen the 360 has the better multi plat since its been around longer and uses a traditional chipset. The ps3 chipset has taken time for devs to learn how to optimize there code for alot of the devs are up to speed on ps3 now and starting to develop there games with the ps3 as the lead console and porting to 360 now. It was the opposite for awhile.

I'm sure you already know the answer to this hille. You're a level 23 for cying out loud. That said, you already know that multi-plats, as of late, look about the same on both consoles.

I know 2 people who have sold their 360 for a PS3. One of them now regrets it. End of the day look at which exclusives you'll want most in the next 2 years and make the decision that way. As for which console games look better on - I'd say there's nothing in it unless you want to be finicky then most would say 360.

How much do you play online? That should also be a factor as XBL is pretty good but we don't know how Home compares yet.

I've played COD4 on the 360 and the PS3 and there isn't any major difference between the two.

There used to be a problem with PS3 games not matching the graphics or game option of the 360 version of the game but i think most of these problem are fixed now. The longer people work the PS3 the less technical problem they will be.

Why are you want to swap to the PS3? The PS3 is great but if i had to pick out of the two then the 360 would have to win for games and online but that my opinion. There is some great game out for the PS3 in 2007 but they are coming out in 2008. The 360 also will have some great games.

The only thing missing in PS3 games is an in game menu like xbox live. You can't send in game messages, cant listen to saved music in game, cant send a friend invite with someone your playing with, you cant send a game invite unless the game developers included that option, you cant block people to play unless you write the name down and come out of the game and do it etc

The 360 is better playing with friend online. The PS3 is going to add these feature but i dont know how many or when.

The thing is that it usually take more time and money for a developer to make PS3 games look on par with 360 than it did to get those same graphics on the 360. 360 ususally looks slightly better but we are starting to see more and more games were you can't tell any difference in graphics at all and it looks like all game are gonna get like this.

Do you have a good gaming PC? If you do then you would be set. A lot of X360 games that don't come to PS3 go to the PC, so I'm not sure about graphics, but you would get to play the majority of the games.

Generaly most multiplats look better on 360, but more recently a few (e.g. burnout paradise) have been slightly (barely noticably) better on PS3.
