buy a pc for 2k, upgrade it for another 1k, wait 2 years, repeat. meanwhile gaming doesnt get better for you in any way.

ill keep using my pc for email and internet and stuff.

Yeah. Its the same thing with my HDTV. Keep buyign newer, bigger ones each year. I need to overcompensate when i play games involving burly men on my Xbox and PS3.

I'm pretty sure an upgrade enhances gaming, hence the term. Does making moot claims somehow enhance your gaming? If not then why waste your time?

I'm not going to bite the bait, but you do realize when PC owners have to upgrade, it's due to gaining experiences impossible on current gen consoles right? We don't upgrade for console ports, we upgrade for games that are a gen ahead, design wise, in comparison to consoles. So yes, it does enhance our gaming experience. ;)

It's more then just graphics. Gameplay, larger game worlds, better AI, ect.

I can't speak for PC gamers, but generally, when I did an upgrade it enabled me to play some new game I previously couldn't.

well i have 2 points bout in answer to your statement. 1. Your price and upgrading projections are way off for the normal pc gamer 2. It does enhance the experience by: A) higher framerate give smoother gameplay and 60fps is very beneficial in competitive games B) Higher image quality make it easier to notice things.

That's true. But I was talking about the guys who can run games just fine, but still upgrade for the better graphics.

Yeah,I just spent around $5000 on a new system but in a couple of months I´m going to upgrade again and spend $3000 more.

I´ll probably do the same two months after that.

And again and again and again...

By the end of this gen,I estimate to have spent over $100.000 just on hardware.

According to the TC's logic console gamers must buy a new TV every time a new model comes out in order to enhance the graphics. Spending 2k first for a flat screen, then an extra 2k on LED LCD, then 2k more on a 3D HDTV meanwhile gaming doesn't get any better in any way.

thats like saying buying a ps4 wont enhance your gaming experience in any way compared to a ps3. with that logic, everyone would be playing pong.
