Do people believe Xbox 360 won the system war over PS3?

I rarely go into System Wars the same as I rarely watch Fox News but I was curious if people really believe that the 360 has won the System War this year around. I have had 4 PS3's and 5 Xbox 360's and 3 Wii's throughout the beginning of this console generation and if I had to look at the facts I don't see how its possible for the 360 to have the upper hand in the slightest. The 360's strong point is Xbox Live mostly based on the fact that its user friendly somewhat like a person who buys an iphone as opposed to a Windows Mobile or Droid. Aside from live it survives as a console based off of its Third Party Games. Any exclusives much like the original Xbox are either ported over to the PC (always a much better product) or released on the PC at the same time. I will list the Xbox exclusives and then list the PS3 exclusives which is by far the largest margin when depicting the better system.

Xbox 360 -

Halo 3, ODST, and Reach, Perfect Dark Zero, Gears of War, Gears of War 2 and 3, Ninety Nine Nights 1 and 2, Kameo, Lost Odyssey, Forza Motorsport 2 and 3, Fable 2 and 3, Dead or Alive 4, Alan Wake, Blue Dragon

PS3 - Uncharted 1, 2, and 3, MLB The Show 07-11, Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet 1 and 2, Killzone 2, and 3, Gran Turismo 5, Demon Souls, White Knight Chronicles, God of War 3, Heavy Rain

Twisted Metal, The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy XIII Versus are all scheduled to come out sometime this year while Xbox 360 doesn't have any announcements for big name exclusives.

What should be realized is I left out many PS3 exclusives that aren't big names but are popular such as the Disgaea series, the Yakuza series, and the Resistance series. But for the Xbox 360 I had to grasp for straws with the Ninety Nine Nights which were lets face it spin-offs of Dynasty Warriors. Also threw in Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey to up an credibility in the RPG field, which I felt was an honest attempt.

After putting these two systems together I can't help by realize the same thing that was realized last console war. The Xbox's exclusives are Halo and Fable, at least until the PC port is released, much like the 2 Halo's and Fable were with the previous console not to mention Chronicles of Riddick looking phenomenal on the PC.

If the system wars were all about exclusives, PC and Wii would've won and X360 and PS3 would still be fighting for 3rd place.

PS3/360 i couldn't care less, they can fight for the 3rd place all they want.

Jesus would buy the system that is infinitely superior in terms of content, and flexibility, meaning Godlike, which is the obvious PC.

It isnt about exclusives or games,its about sales. Whole point of system wars is what console sales the most. So pc won 1st place. Wii second place and 360 third place and ps3 fourth place.

A console's lifespan before a new gen. comes out is 5-6 years. And that's at most. Ben so since the SNES/Genesis days. I see no reason for it to change now.

and overall I think Ps3 wins since their exclusives are actually unique and awesome whilst the 360 just pumps out generic shooters

If you are expecting a new playstation or xbox next year then you do not understand economics. Sony and MS are going to ride this gen out as long as they can.

Also to contribute to the thread, MS has already won the battle. I honestly don't think even the biggest lems expected for MS to hold on to its lead over ps3 this long. They also have the advantage where they will probably get another head start for next gen over sony as well.

The 360 can't win anything. It has crap first party support, and a service that nickel and dimes you just to play the game you've already stumped up cash for.

The PS3 had a TERRIBLE start, let's not pretend here ... However it's done great over the last few years, whereas the Xbox has got worse and worse.

360 VS PS3? The 360 wins because of sales and with it's Kinect now on board the gap will get larger.

WII VS 360 VS PS3? Wii won this gen with it's sales.

PS VS WII VS 360 VS PS3? PC is the clear winner in sales.

Are going to? They already did. It's 2011. The consoles are already 5 years old, the 360 is pushing 6 years.

I know they can still milk the **** out of them with the casual approach. But i doubt they'll survive by late 2012. That's always ben the death line, 5 - 6 years. I base my conclusion on the history of consoles.

And just because a new gen. starts, doesn't mean this current console gen. wont continue to sell. My conclusion is based on the PS2, PS3 was released in 2006, and the PS2 still got games released on it and sold very well to this day.

So yeah. Time will tell who is right.

MS & Sony are going to do what they want to do, we can't read their minds, nevermind the fact that both companies do not solely rely on games and consoles to make them money, unlike Nintendo.

how about resitance, killzone and MAG? those aren't generic? last time i checked mass effect 2 and COD 2 are on multiple platformes...

first your points :- Geow is not generic, other games have copied it, making them generic.

Mass Effect is not a generic shooter, its a shooter with a great story and RPG elements.

HALO is the best Console FPS series going.

COD2 - far from generic, was probably one of the best launch titles ever..

now, the only games i really care about this year are TESV, Batman, ME3, Skyrim, Gears 3, Ace combat Assault Horizon. the fact that i could play all bar one of those games on another system is irrelevant to me.

As for games that i MAY LOOK at getting that are "system exclusive" I'd probably look at XBLA exclusive Trenched, plus Steel Battalion, Project Draco and a few others.

the Lineup for PS3 has the same multiplats and games such as LBP2 and UC3 that i have no interest in. matter of fact the game "Dark souls" i think might look good too, i saw some screenshots and they looked good. i think its previous game was a PS3 exclusive called Demon Souls, funny that no-one seems to mention its now a multiplat!

i am still playing Halo Reach, months after release it still averages 100,000 players online in the evening, so that wont die off too quick. so can you explain to me why i should care that the 360 hasn't much to offer this year, besides gears, forza and all those amazing multiplats i mentioned?.
