oh PC where possible. i prefer the controls, the games at least run smoother and, in the case of GTA4, also look better. that and the game is also cheaper :). the exception being a POP game.

i dont really know. i know i can hook up a controller to a PC of course but for POP...it just doesnt feel right on the PC for some reason. its definately a game built for consoles (thats not a pop at consoles...i love POP games). for the other games you mention like AC and GTA i prefer the keyboard and mouse. thats probably the biggest reason why i choose the PC version (and there 10-15 quid cheaper..also helps). but theres just something about POP that makes it more suitable for consoles imho. i cant put my finger on it.

I usually prefer third person games on a console. Analog controls just feel better for running around third person. For first person, I prefer KB+M.

Consoles. I've tried playing GTA IV on PC, but I just enjoyed playing the PS3 version more (not sure why, specifically).

Just Cause 2 says otherwise. Not only is it well optimized, but it's a native DX10 game with much superior graphics than the console version, and some mods too.

Well I can't play it since I still run XP so I'm SOL.

Well, I just got Assassin's Creed II on PC, and I'm playing the PC version of San Andreas, so I guess PC. It's not super high-end though. Doubt it could handle GTA IV that great.

Gaming PC. GTA4 looks horrible on consoles and the frame rate is the worst I've ever seen :D

Sandbox games are, after all, video games, which - unless they're crappy ports - follow the basic rule of "every aspect of it is superior on the PC than on the consoles due to laxed hardware limitations".

So, yes, I'd prefer playing Sandbox games on my PC.... as long as the porting team put effort into their work.

Is my PC 'high end'? I sure as hell don't think so, and it runs these 'sandbox games' well enough for me to opt for it over my consoles. Anyway the PC has a much better variety of sandbox games in general; be it Mount & Blade or Dwarf Fortress - that eclipses all these other 'sandbox' titles.

It depends on the game. But anyway, isn't "high end gaming PC" sort of redundant?

Prefer it on PC. I'll only get it on my PS3 if it's exclusive like Infamous or something. Infamous would be awesome on PC, too bad it's exclusive to such crappy hardware. It would look really good on my PC. On PS3, it's just a huge jagfest.

Open world games + Mods = unlimited amount of fun. Who would get bored of flying around liberty city as Superman, or doing drive bys as Super Mario. :P

well the fact gta4 runs better on a 3 year old pc says otherwise. When they complain about games not running well they mean it doesn't run well on their console spec system which is pointless in pc terms. decent 512mb gpu and quad core cpu gta4 runs much much better on pc.

I use the PC for two reasons - 1, KB+M with decent visuals; 2, I don't own a PS3 or Xbox :P

I play on both. Lately the PC version has been coming out later so I get the console version first and if I really like it I'll get the PC version. If the PC version comes out at the same time and doesn't have ridiculous DRM, I'll get the PC version no question.

Console mostly. Assassin's Creed and GTA IV were both better with a controller. Prototype was just bad across all platforms, and I haven't played PoP.

I don't really know why, but I've always felt GTA wasn't meant for the PC. It just didn't feel right, and for the last gen GTA trilogy (III, Vice City, and Sandreas), all of which I played on all platforms (PC, Xbox, PS2), I have always prefered the Xbox versions by quite a stretch. It's more because I'm not too big on PC gaming anyway.

For Grand Theft Auto I play only on a Playstation controller, I cannot stand any other controller for that game. Beauty of a Gaming PC is I can use any kind of Controller I want :P

However, it's going to be at least until the end of this summer until I can get myself a gaming Rig.
