Do Xbox 360's owners even LIKE metal gear solid?

all this talk about metal gear solid 4 porting to the 360 brings up the question

"Do xbox 360 owners even like the metal gear solid franchise?"

cause the people i know who own 360's have no interest watsoever in the MGS series

they're really just caught up in playing gears of war, guitar hero 2, and viva pinata... and they're definitely all waiting for halo 3

im not sure that metal gear solid will appeal to the majority of 360 owners... (i mean MGS 2 substance didnt)

the only reason i can imagine people wanting MGS4 on 360 is because theyre moving from last gen onto the next gen consoles and they dont want to drop 500 bucks on a ps3

I'm a 360 owner and I can't wait for MGS4, but I own a PS3....so I couldn't care less if it remains exclusive.

MGS4 is the one game I HAVE to play. So if it never comes to 360 I will HAVE to get a PS3 eventually

SC is a turd compared to the first MGS on PS1. Hell, all MGS and SCs are turds compared to the classic on the PS1. Yes, i played SC and beaten all MGS's so i know whats good.

Thats what i did and yes i would like to see mgs4 on the 360 i won't mind tought the 360 alredy has amazing games, mgs will be like a big bonus :).

on a real note MGS is pretty cool the story is better than splinter cell, but the sneaking is better on splinter cell

SCs story is far from being comparable to MGS, and MGS3's sneaking system was just fine...... Hell even DA didnt even compare to MGS3, let alone Chaos Theorey.

No MGS kills it.

If anything we should compare SC to the Thief series - that is much more even playing ground, and a realistic comparison.

I certainly don't. Not a fan of stealth games at all, neither Splinter Cell or MGS appeal to me...

MGS2:S appeared on the Original Xbox, if you remember, and it sold like absolute crap.

I think about 60% of people who want it to come to 360 just want it to happen for "the lulz". I have to admit... It would be pretty funny if it happened.

Of course they LIKE Metal Gear Solid. As you said, all they can talkabout is their dreams of a 360 port of MGS4.

personally i have no interest in mgs4..

splinter cell obliterated the entire mgs series, imo...

that's the only true tactical espionage game left between the two...

let the ps3 have it; they need every game it can get...
