Do you actually think that consoles battle against PC?

I can't understand why is so many people determined to compare consoles to PC.

PC battles should only be between motherboards, processors and GPU brands, not against consoles. PCs are upgradable and consoles are hardware locked, mainly directed to gamers, and have a different kind of consumer and public.

Well sometimes there is that basic argument of which one is better for gaming. Such as consoles being very cheap or PC's being upgradeable. I mean both have their advantages and disadvantages but I don't think you can really put them against each other in system wars.

They make threads all the time, usually against Crysis graphics. Recently it was heavy rain.

Exactly. Is very legitimate to express your opinion about what system do you prefer for gaming, but that doesn't mean you can put PC, PS3, XBox360 and Wii together and tell who's the best.

yes...but not many of them are capable of gaming with the latest games...but for every PC there always a game that can run on it...

but anyways this is SYSTEM WARS...not console wars...everybody loves to compair systems against eachother...and so far i have yet to see one person have a valid reason against the PC...hell even the price argument is obsolete now..

Most of the world has a PC, infact I believe its well over 1 billion now.

First option, I consider PC it's own thing, it's better then consoles graphically and technically and will always be that way because parts constantly come out for it, that's obvious and I think it's pretty unfair to compare them to consoles which can't be upgraded.

I consider PS3 and 360 in direct competition, Wii is doing it's own thing, and PC has been doing it's own thing since forever.

Consoles don't "battle" against the PC. It's obvious the PC destroys the console in every benchmark. So why is it in System Wars? When me and my Pa are discussing muscle cars and big engines and which is better the Chevy Nova or the 1969 Mustang, I'll add "Well the Mclaren F1 could beat em both" end of discussion. :lol: That's the entire purpose of the PC in System Wars.VoodooGamer

No, I'm just saying that the PC is good for other things, so everyone has one.

Consoles aren't good for anything but gaming, so it's difficult to compare the two.

Obviously if everyone has one, and everyone expected to have one that fits into certain specs, then of course developers are going to support it more.

Well they obviously do...unfortunately. I just wish pc fanboys( just fanboys, relax) would stop posting captain obvious threads or statements such as Pc being technically Superior in every way then going on to mention crysis. Seriously, no one denies it so please, end the suffering. I'd say the main point of "which system is better" comes down to ps3/360 which explains the majority of threads on them. Not trying to single anyone out here though. Everything belongs here; Consoles, Pc, and handhelds.

PC may be a system in SW, but seriously people with consoles could care less what games and which exclusives the PC gets. Everyone has a PC here, so everyone can get the exact same games. PC is off in its own world, does not affect me at all if it gets 360 ports or a thousand exclusives I don't care about. That's how it is for most I would say. hopesfall2own

The reason is the console war is just a fight for second place, and consolites don't wanna feel like that. :P

PC gaming and console gaming are entirely different experiences - one centered around performance and customizability, the other around accessibility and convenience. You can argue the merits of PC vs. console, but a PC isn't really relevant when discussing 360 vs. PS3. A PC simply isn't a substitute for a console, or vice versa.

I don't think the PC competes with consoles. It's simple, the ps3, 360 and wii are all consoles, the pc is not. I know most will say "but this is System Wars!". It's like grouping together 3 cars and an airplane and calling it transportation wars. robflores370

God I swear everyone in this forum just whines about everything and loses sight of what is important. It's not about the hardware, it's not about alternative features, it's about the games. As long as each system is a seperate platform which holds an alternative gaming experience, there is competition. That is what this forum is about, an ongoing WAR about which SYSTEM has the best GAMES. Does this topic really need to be explained anymore?-keola-

People debated quite a lot. I think the issue is not that clear. :P

What I don't understand is how the Wii, PC, 360, and PS3 can share so many titles from their libraries, and yet still there are people saying the PC doesn't effect console game sales because they're "different."

Just because they're different doesn't mean they don't effect each other.
