I play on PC and like 95% of my games are DD only so that speaks for itself
When I had a PS3 though I would wait for used version of games I wasn't sure about or if I saw a game in the used pile I thought I'd like. If I really was interested in a game then I would pay for it full price new
I buy both, buy I never buy from gamestop. When I buy used, I buy from Amazon and Ebay.AmazonTreeBoa
I also avoid Gamestop. Â In the last 4 years I've only done business with them once.
New because I don't know who owned the game before me; Also I'm obessive compulsive when it comes to games and other media and I want my games in mint condition when I purchase it so much so that I hate when a case gets a scratch in it.
My sister all of her games are used since she isn't going to pay full price on my nephew because he can't take care of his stuff.
I buy both, but I never buy from gamestop. When I buy used, I buy from Amazon and Ebay.

why? lol using them during sales and trade in bonus deals is great. This one time I bought a used game, and it had that god awful smoke stench. :xNew because I don't know who owned the game before me; Also I'm obessive compulsive when it games and other media and I want my games in mint condition when I purchase it so much so that I hate when a case gets a scratch in it.

why? lol using them during sales and trade in bonus deals is great.I doubt you want to hear it all, but between the poor customer service, the pricing, and the full on dishonesty I've experienced, I'd rather not give them my business if it can be helped. Â I'm not the type to get upset over an isolated incident, but I had far too many bad experiences.
Also, sometimes going to Gamestop is like stepping into a system wars themed holodeck. Â No thanks. Â I just want to get what I came for and leave, not have some biased zit faced kid tell me what I should and shouldnt get.
If there's a game I really want like day 1 material I'll buy it new, if I buy a game later on down the road it's usually used.
To you people who only buy new. Are you guys like millionaires or something? or do you just not play many games?Sali217
Â
I buy about 5-6 games a year new. Thats about $300 to $360 dollars. Hardly a millionare. Buy a few used each year. Most I turn back in because they aren't as good as the big name releases.

EDIT: Also let me add that I buy used games, but I don't sell my games.

To you people who only buy new. Are you guys like millionaires or something? or do you just not play many games?Sali217I only get about 5 games at full price a year maybe more; I also wait until the price drops or wait because sometimes they have collections of old games so I wait until the collection.
I didn't play Arkham Asylum until Arkham City was released because Wal-Mart had a promotion where if you bought Arkham City you got Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition free.
I very rarely buy used unless it's so old that used is the only way to obtain a copy without paying £200 for the one guy who still has a shrink wrapped copy. I do sell games though, usually on Amazon, unless they're only worth a few pounds and then it's not really worth the hassle once you pay for postage and packaging to ship stuff in. That's really the only time I bother with game stores.

I buy most things on PC now, it's rare that I pay more than £20 for a new game. Even then I only buy maybe 1 or 2 brand new games a month, so I'm probably spending about £500-600 a year at most. That's not a ton if you think that lots of people probably spend that in 3 or 4 months going out getting drunk.

I usually buy 12-20 new games a year :|. I've actually cut back this year though since I'm saving up for school and new PC parts.

So you're the millionare he was looking for. Simple as that.
I buy new and used. Sometimes at Gamestop, a lot of times at Fry's Electronics, Best Buy or Wal-Mart. I usually buy new when it's a game that is worth the $60 and I know it. I buy used when it's a game isn't worth $60, but is still worth playing through or giving it a try. Those games i usually buy for $35 or less.there are some that buy strictly new...some strictly used, then you got your in betweens....I personally buy new.,.....unless there is a game that i really want and i have no choice but to buy used. but more often than none, i buy new
