i do, i never had an original xbox and now that the 360 has BC i started a hunt for some ot the best exclusives the original xbox had so far i found jet set radio future and Shenmue 2
the lack of BC on the PS3 at the time was one of the reasons that made me change from the PS3 to the 360

You should try out Brute Force, great co-op TPS.

[QUOTE="GreggD"]XP, or Vista? Because the latter ain't so good for that...[QUOTE="Wartzay"]yes, thats why I play on the PCst1ka
Anyway, yes. I always want backward compatibility.
XP isn't too good with that either, unless of course you download some backup programs like dosbox
That's pretty much what I meant. Dosbox kicks ass.[QUOTE="st1ka"][QUOTE="GreggD"]XP, or Vista? Because the latter ain't so good for that...[QUOTE="Wartzay"]yes, thats why I play on the PCGreggD

Yes - it's one of the major factors why I do not yet own a Playstation 3.
For those who own a Wii - pick up F-Zero GX.
For those who own a DS - pick up Golden Sun.
For those who own a 360 - pick up Jade Empire.
:)

Just a heads up, most of the original Xbox games run like crap on the 360. :(
*Edit*
I do think it's important for some systems. For the PS2, the PS1 games being backwards compatible was a savior, considering my PS1 broke down about 5 years back. Playing GBA games on the DS is a no brainer with it's bright lit screen and better speakers. For handhelds I would say it is a must, for consoles not as much.
My system has it and I haven't used it yet and I really don't plan on it , plus I have my old system handy and ready to be plugged in for guests if they want to play those games or play their own. I would rather not put the strain on my current system for those instances that come up.

For me that would be Redneck Rampage. It doesn't have the same structure as other Build engine games, due to the...I guess "cd-quality" music in the game. It all runs off the cd in a peculiar way.I had a ton of discount GC games, plus i was still playing ones i was in the middle of when i got my Wii. I would have still bought a wii without out, but its a great convenience.
But if your system is going to have BC, have it ALL THE WAY. PS3 should definitly have 100% because of the power of the cell should leave no excuse, plus PS2 is so freakn popular, it allow consumers that care about BC a seamless upgrade.

[QUOTE="ikwal"]You're stupid if you buy a console to play last gen games...HarlockJC
How? A game is a game no matter what gen it came out. If someone never owned a GC and they buy a Wii should they not go back and play some of the best games from last gen.
Yeah, I didn't own a GC last gen and was able to experience Wind waker this gen on my Wii. Awesome game.
I do there is a number of Xbox games I can no longer play due to the fact I sold me Xbox when buying the 360. I am still hoping for more updates.

The ending sequence in your signature is from the first game I ever completed. :)
And yes, BC is very important.

The same could be said about any system, I just use the GC because it sold the least. I would also recommend to you TofS, Metroid Prime 1,2 and Super Mario Sunshine. All great games there are many more but I would recommend them first. Metroid Prime is really cheap when you find it used.

Well, I owned a PS2 so that's not the problem in my case. :P
I'll try ToS and Metroid prime as i've heard good things about them. This summer has been really boring :(

I still think it the best Batman games to this day.
Anyone know where the list of Xbox backwards games are? HarlockJC

I have the 60 gig, and play ps2 games all the time. IM sure in a few years it wont matter as much. I love the old 60 gig, the best ps3 that was made. The way they should be.lolkie_81
yup i agree. I just finished playing MGS:the essential collection on mine. A ps1 game and two ps2 games and topped it off with MGS4 all on my good ol' 60 gig ps3. I am so glad i rushed out to get it(even though i was broke) when they announced that they were phasing it out. Now that was a good reason to whip out that credit card.
