Who says they aren't? The majority of the focus of the Wii is on the new market they've opened up... and only 4 years after its release are they actually putting some effort into producing titles for core gamers. That's a ridiculous statement. Nintendo has been targeting the entire audience from the beginning. Fire Emblem and Super Paper Mario came out in early 2007. Battalion Wars and Metroid Prime 3 in late '07. Twlight Princess and Excite Truck at launch. Captain Rainbow and Disaster in 2008. Brawl and Wario Land not long after. Further, Nintendo has allowed far more graphic and ambitious content on Wii than it has with any other console in the past. Manhunt 2, Madworld, No More Heroes, Muramasa, House of the Dead... Just because Nintendo hasn't SUCCEEDED in capturing a large portion of the core market until recently doesn't mean they weren't TRYING. In other words, COMPETING. You will never, ever find a gamer more "hardcore" than I. I am not some mindless Nintendo fanboy, either. And I have never been without something to play on my Wii.[QUOTE="savebattery"]You can't tell me Nintendo is trying to capture the same audience with Wii Play and Nintendogs that they are with Sin and Punishment and Fire Emblem.foxhound_fox
