This current gen is all about HD....

Wii cant do anything higher than 480p so its not HD, so In my book its not "next-gen". Because its still in the SD generation of consoles.

That being said, its still very fun to play, and there are some good games for it.

Current Gen = Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3... why? because it is the current gen not the next. Wii fits perfectly along side of them. Every generation and console has brought something new and the Wii is the only guy to actually brings something new. I mean, what you have on Xbox360 and PS3 is beautiful, but PC did it first. And they pwned themselves with adding the same damn controllers as last time. The Wii would be epic if developers would step up to the plate.

Now imagine if 1 f the next 2 Generations had better graphics than current gen and controlls similar to the Wii, but much better refined and a convertable remote/controller... neat.

This current gen is all about HD....

Wii cant do anything higher than 480p so its not HD, so In my book its not "next-gen". Because its still in the SD generation of consoles.

That being said, its still very fun to play, and there are some good games for it.

Yes indeed. Neither the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 or the Wii is any more or less current gen than the others.

Yes, it's better than the 360 and PS3.

It actively gets games, so I consider it part of the "this generation." To be honest, I consider PS2 to be part of the "this generation." I guess it's just your definition. PS2 still gets a lot of games, so it counts for me!

Super Mario Galaxy, No More Heroes, Zack and Wiki, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, Wii Sports, Wii Play, Boom Blox, Lost Winds, and many other games have proved that motion sensing can be better than normal controls, and a lot more precise and accurate.

2. Brawl's frame-rate would've suffered if it was on the GameCube.

Yeah well the title is "do you consider"...so no I do not consider the Wii current gen as in the same generation as the PS3 and the 360. If you consider it to be next gen...hey thats fine. I still think its a fun console - sans the extremly lame Friend Codes. Friend Codes automatically give it -10 points in my book, but hey thats just me.

The people in denial are the sheep that think the Wii can somehow be on par with the PS3 or 360.

But when I got my Wii on launch day, I knew what I was buying..I had no illusions about my purchase.
