Do you dislike the Super Mario Galaxy games?

Fairly simple question. Assuming you have played the games, do you like the Super Mario Galaxy series of games, or do you dislike it? This is not a poll about whether you think the games are overrated- you may think they are, but you can still like them.

I don't dislike the game, but i didn't think it was all that special, it was good, just not as ground shaking people make it out to be.

I have a soul. Of course I love the SMG games. Strangely, I enjoyed the second much better than the first. It just felt like such a refined, thought out experience. And the levels were so imaginative and exciting. And the soundtrack... dear God that sountrack...

One could say that I dislike the SMG games. As for why: the controls, andnot being fun.

I love both of the games. 2 more than 1 but 1 has some memorable levels.

You're not alone in that regard. SMG2 topped the first in almost every way imaginable. Still replay levels from both games, though, whenever I have a platforming itch to scratch. ;)

i dislike number 2 being a copy/poaste of number 1

The first one was a little "eh" for me, and the second one, while being the epitome of 3D platformers, and one of the most well-made and highly polished games I've ever played in my nearly 20 years of gaming... isn't something I'd go slip into the Wii for something to pass the time or entertainment.

I've never been a big fan of 3D platformers. 2D are where I shine. So technically, while I enjoyed my time with the second, I wouldn't rank it as something I "liked" per se. More "tolerated" because of how amazing the game was.

Loved them both, especially the second one. I'd say they are some of the best platformers of all time and I was never a fan of the previous 3D Mario titles.

Enjoyed the first, didn't even finish the second. I liked the concept as a game a heckuva lot more than a franchise.

I love them BUT I do think the Super Mario 64 style 3D platformers have more potential... Personally I would much rather see a new one of those.

**** the haters, I love collecting. And just imagine Super Mario style platforming in levels the size of the ones in Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts.. How amaazing could that be?

I think they're great, but I wish they made the levels more challenging. The only difficult ones to me were the ones where if you get hit once you die, and a few time trial ones. The rest were all kind of easy.

I don't dislike them, but I don't really like them either.

I think they're boring - not a fan of platformers. But I can see why people do like them. Only played SMG1 though. SMG2 may be a different story...

But I doubt it :P

I enjoyed the first one which is surprising since I don't usually enjoy 3D platformers. I haven't finished it yet so I haven't gotten number 2. I don't think I will, actually since I've already filled my quota for running and jumping this gen.

Only played the first which I thought was fun in short bursts but it's not my kind of game really. I have no desire to play the second.

i used to, but then I realized I was being a nostalgia*** for mario 64. the galaxy games pull out all the stops when it comes to 3D platforming elements. they are superb games

now, sunshine on the other hand, I still hate.

Galaxy 1 - Easily among the best games I've ever played.

Galaxy 2 - Objectively speaking it is the very best game I've ever played. That does not mean it is my favorite game of all time, but it is without a doubt the most well designed piece of interactive software I have had the pleasure of playing.

The only games that "wowed" me this gen.... and they did it over and over again.

They're not going to be for me so I don't play them. Ergo, I don't dislike them as I don't care.

The first is a little tedious because of the hub world and the unnecessary side story and characters that you need to interact with. It's also way too easy. SMG2 is fantastic, however.
