He's funny for commercials. Funny enough to keep them interesting. I don't get why people are expecting great stand up comedy from him. He's a bad comedian, but funny enough to do commercials.
I find him funny, but the best one recently was GT5. His best ones were the first ones, but I think he should keep doing the adds because they've never been dreadful to watch, like some of Sony's other's commercials. He hasn't been as good lately, but I still almost always get a chuckle, which is hard to do on a 30 second commercial.

The man is a corporate shill, like so many other shills. I don't hate him for it, but his reputation makes him obnoxious to me. That's not really fair, but it's kind of like how if there's a song you don't particularly like that's okay, but if it's on the radio all the time and everybody talks about it then you hate it. So no, he is not funny, and everything he says is as calculated as what Ronald McDonald says and I can't get over that fact. I have a very keen sense for advertising and manipulation
