do you guys think the wii has sold that much?

think about it, i dont know a single person that owns a nintendo wii. but i know roughly around 10 people who own a xbox360.

so how can it be true that the wii is only 800k behind the xbox360? i mean even if you include japan with its small population it still isnt that much plus european countrys dont play with wii's that much.

its kind of sad when system wars spills over in to real life

to the point where every time you actually see somebody in real life playing a DS, you feel the need to flaunt your PSP.....i mean i find that absolutely hilarious :lol:

aside from nintendo's inability to manufacture an adequate amount of hardware to meet demand, the wii is selling as much as we have heard. there's a reason why its sales are beginning to catch up to the 360s despite the 360 being released earlier. the wii will continue to sale because of nintendos great job marketing the system as extremely user friendly no matter your age group.

Thats kinda childish but whatever its a free country. I play video games for fun, not advertisment.

Getting back to the topic, yes I do beleive the Wii really is in high demand. You still have to waite outside of best buy before it opens to get a Wii on the days they restock, so a lot of people are buying them. Plus a lot of my friends are buying Wiis too.

And I definitely believe it. I've only met a few other people with Wii's but there isn't a doubt in my mind that they sell that much.

That's right! The Wii does NOT exist!

I work at Gamestop and we get three systems in every one to two weeks and they are gone within twenty minutes. We get over two dozen calls a day asking for Wiis and that does not include in store questions. Wii is selling hotter then sliced bread.

Well all my friends have 360s and Wiis and only one I know has a PS3 so I'm going to be different and get a PS3.

Oh I would also like to add that in my area Wii's are still impossible to find,So I would say the whole 800k behind the 360 is pretty accurate.

One good thing to remember about official numbers from companies is that they are always behind. They only need report sales from fiscal quarters, so the last 'official' numbers we have are from Q3 '07 (fiscally). Nintendo's last quarterly report just came out and it only tallied sales through March '07 (calendar-wise). Fiscal years are tricky.
