Killzone 2 is not being hype THE HALO KILLER as much as before. Its taking its own road and even if it scores over 8.0 ,it iwll be a blessing.
Just don't hype it in comparison to other proven games.

U havent been around here that long have u? The only way this game will not suffer an embrassing defeat if it scores a 10 or a 9.0+ so it wont be as hard of a blow.

No, because the two series aren't even in the same league yet. The series and the developer have yet to prove anything. Killzone 1 was lackluster, and Killzone Liberation was great...as an over the head PSP shooter. If Killzone 2 can be even marginally close to accomplishing the quality that Halo 3 has achieved, it will be considered good.
Well kz 2 has a shot at AAA I don't think it's gonna kill halo but instead be as good as halo or way worse. I honestly don't think killzone 2 is gonna get 10.0 lets face it gamespot isn't a place to hand those out unless a game defines something big and new for games.
Honestly after the mediocrity of Killzone on PS2, Id think a 8.5 or higher for KZ2 should be considered a great score for the series. The key for Guerilla with KZ2 is to make the game look and feel like an evolution from the original!!! Personally. I see KZ2 as more of a Gears of War type game but in FPs mode. The look and use of cover is more akin to Gears or the CoD series than it is to say the Halo or UT series!

but I could just say "if you have a ps3 and don't own warhawk or resistance you shouldn't own one in the first place" so that arguement is quite bad....
In reality KZ2 will have to be a literal 12.0 to get a game score from GS of 9.5 or better. That seems to be the screwiny PS3 games are put through during reviews. Resistance did get AA on PS3 despite being a better shooter than anything out on the 360 at the time (20 on 20 online without a hint of slowdown..) GS says, "meh but teh generic ...8.6."
If GS feels that the game is good enough to where they have togive it a AAA score, it'll probably be better than anything that 360 has ever had on thesystem. In other words I don't think it even has a chance of matching Halo3's score *regardless or quality*

Many many PS3 users have said that KZ2 is the Halo-Killer so yes it does have a lot to live up to.

Well looks like people on both sides have a chance at getting owned then. I have not really seen that about LO but I am not saying it is not happening. Does not seem to be as wide spead as KZ2 Vs Halo though.
Many many PS3 users have said that KZ2 is the Halo-Killer so yes it does have a lot to live up to.

Well I actually am for the same idea as you (Call it a X-Game killer, then hype it as what X-Game score is) But seems like both cows and leemings don't wanna do that, they annoy ppl by calling a new game X-Game killer, but when it comes to hype they don't.
yes. There is no escuse for killzone 2. It has the hype, the backing its the "halo killer" it has to get a at least a 9.0 to not be a failure 9.5 to compare it to Halo. Thats just the way it is.
as long as its gameplay doesnt mirror the first game then it so do well but wait a moment halo 3's gameplay is like h1 and 2 but then again 1 and 2 was good...so i cant say...
