Yep, sure do.
I used to not care about owning a gaming PC. I was always primarily a console gamer and I preferred console franchises. Wasn't too long ago that these platforms were so segmented. PC thriving on certain franchises and genres while consoles thrived on others. That world just doesn't exist anymore though. Most games are multiplats now and most of those multiplats are on PC in better form. I don't mind spending the extra cash up front on a platform that has the most games and has the best version of most games.
My only real issue with PC gaming is that there are too many damn games to play, but that's a good problem to have.
lol, I can relate brother.
Like I've said in other threads before. I spent most of my life primarily playing on consoles, and only dabbled on various PC games. I owned a shitty pc as a kid, but I was hella addicted to Diablo 2 & Counter-strike back then lol. To this day, I still wonder how I found time to play so many games since I was also very active with sports for school. But I digress.
I built my 3rd gaming PC ever a bit after the PS4 launched because I was convinced by my friends at work. Prior to that, I haven't gamed on a PC since 2004; and I realized how much I missed out on exclusives, and better quality/performance with mulitplats last gen. I was mainly in college last gen, so I primarily gamed on Xbox 360, with a PS3 for exclusives. I purchased a PS4 at launch, and although it was a great "New car" smell, it got boring really quick. I shouldn't have rushed out to grab one at launch, but I was coming off of "The Last of Us" high =P (which is my favorite PS3 game) , and we were all dying for something new. I know there will be a few exclusives that I will want to play on it. So it's tucked away for now. At least until Persona 5 :P.
But ever since I built my PC, I'm having so much fun with it. I spend 95% of my gaming time on it. Not to mention all the sales and deals on games that pop up daily.
The only downsides I see are the occasional sloppy port, DRM, and too many games to play :P. But other than that, it's been a great experience. It only seems to be getting better each year. More devs seem to be jumping on board with the platform every couple of months.
I'm planning on buying a WiiU soon for my living room. Xenoblade is looking fun. I through a kickback party recently and a few girls were asking about Mario Party. Lesson learned. Plus, Smash bros is a great party game as well.
