10 million total on live including Silver and Gold, but still charging to play online with your friends is ridiculous when nobody else does it. I for one won't support it, it's Microsofts objective to make it the industry standard. Sad how many people bought into it.

What's really going to suck is 3 or 4 years from now when X360 isn't the hot thing anymore, but you still want to get on Halo just for the heck of it and realize you can't play online without handing over $50, if not more by then.

Sounds like your problem I was on Rainbow 6:Vegas last weekend for 5 hours and got matched in a game in about 15 seconds. On Call of Duty I find games in about half a second. And the Warhawk issues were solved a long long long time ago. Check your router, because me and my friends are having a blast on PSN.

I think you have to start paying them more since fixing those RROD problems seemed to take forever. Specially when they released their new SKU's which still had the problem.

They lost 4+ billion on the xbox and over 2 billion on the 360 so even with live they are heavy in the red.

$50 a year is really expensive if we consider that we only pay for the oportunity to play online, if we want arcade games we have to pay even more money.

I think MS should make XBL free and charge for arcade games and other services just like Nintendo or Sony, or at least lower the price to $25 a year

Does the theory of inflated sales only apply selectively or does it apply in this instance also? If it applies here, the revenue would have to be a fraction of what you have quoted.
