Microsoft doesn't report console numbers ever since 2013 with the fail xbox one product they didnt' wanna show weaknesss to ps4 and it would make phil look bad if S is getting outsold by the X cause he said the other way around they won't report anything.

S only moves more units when PS5 and XSX are unavailable. That's why it tends to be no. 2 in some random markets. It has become the "settle" console.

Phil went to an Ivy Leauge College, is head of a division in one of the few trillion dollar companies in the entire world and is a millionaire. I think I'll believe his word over a 12 year old video game fanboy's on a video game message board that's still in middle school and can only afford one system, thank you.

If I had to bet, I would put money on the Series X currently outselling the Series S. The demand is higher. So the fact that the Series S is available for purchase more frequently and for longer durations could just be due to demand, and not because of higher production of the Series S.

In the long run, I would still bet on the Series X. The disc drive and power advantages push it over the edge. Now if the Series S was out before the Series X, like the Xbox One and Xbox One X, my answer would be different.

Why are you even calling me out? I probably said it was possible the cheaper Series S sells better given the cost of the other two at launch. I don't remember saying the Series S would indefinitely be more popular. How was I to know that people would be crazy enough to spend £450 on consoles that had no games.

My logic was £250, Gamepass Ultimate, good to go. And for me, I'll probably upgrade when the Series X is way cheaper.

I maintain that I think its silly to spend the launch asking price on the PS5 and Series X, then wait for games.

The Series S at £250 launch is a legit good deal during the first year before the 1st party games roll out.

What you said is important. It legit doesn't matter. All that matters to MS is that people pick a device play their games on, be it the Series S, Series X, PC, soon Xcloud... Whatever. Not only should we not care in MSs case, it doesn't matter.

We know it is in India. In Japan, the XSS wins some weeks, but overall the XSX is about 75% of sales there since launch. Don't know any other breakdowns.

It's probably selling some amount of units, but i feel like most of its sales have more to do with the system being less desirable for scalpers.

Is that what you people are saying now? Because I remember all over the internet a few years ago, all Xbox gamers claiming that playing on anything below an Xone X was garbage. So, are your side of gaming pure hypocrisy or what?

"my side of gaming" I was playing with a GTX 750 Ti for most of last gen, then moved on to GTX 1060 6GB which I still use. :-S

And while the PC gamers were talking about their powerful hardware, I was insisting that PC gaming isn't about that, it's about choice, customisation and access to tons of cheap software.

Any that's a poor argument to call out views on powerful hardware, because it goes round in circles with lems and cows. Cows said anything below a PS4 was trash, but it's all good when the PS consoles are less powerful than the Xbox consoles, then it's all about the games.

Also, I wasn't forced to buy a Series S, I choose it. In fact I wouldn't have bought a Series X anyway. I'm not interested in spending that much on a games console.

It's not hypocrisy, I don't speak for others. And I don't tow their line. I've been fairly consistent about what I think of gaming hardware.
