What I mean about speed game, do you just rush through the game quickly just to beat it or take your time and enjoy every bit of it?

I just hate it when I hear someone say "Yeah I beat that game real fast, but I didn't do any of the side stuff."

What about you?

Usually, NO. But sometimes when I've finished a game, done every side quest, searched around every corner, know everything about how the game works etc... I may try to do a speed run of the game. It's quite fun actually to see how fast a game can be completed, but it's really stupid to do this the first time you're playing a game.

If you're not talking about speedrunninggames, not often.I rush just a bit when I first purchase the game, but if the game really is that good,I'll try to relish every moment of it.

Depends on how much time I have. I've been "speed gaming" lately though. Ive had classes to deal with and looking for a new place to stay, along with finding some new work soon.

The first time through a game, I usually try and see everything in the game, so...no.

After that, I might attempt to speedrun it...although that's usually just for Metroid games.

Not intentionally. Sometimes I play through only to realize how many things I missed after reading an FAQ later.

While I was thinking of my response it got me thinking, I really hate sidequests that aren't really sidequests since they are almost a necessity to complete in order to gain some extra exp. and items for the next part of the main quest.

It depends on the sidequests.

There are far to many games that have sidequests which don't really net you anything.

I will take my time through the mainstory, and play any sidequest that will benefit me with story or an ingame reward.

Na, I'm not good enough to do that. But I do like watching a good speed run, especially with Zelda ones

Yeah, though not really a speed run one of the best videos I've seen was someone beating Seymour Flux with no ability advancement past what was set in the beginning of FFX and no summons powered up. It was insane, if I can find it I'll post it.

Hardly... I prefer to take things slow and easy and absorb the game. Also I'm a completionist, so I like to look in every nook and cranny and try to complete the game the best way I can. :D

I cant say i do, but then I dont go slow either. I mean, I dont just stop to enjoy the scenery at all.

Though in oblivion I frequently have just gone around for ages for no reason. But then I have fast traveled as well.

I just completed MGS3 to know the story for MGS4, I did not speed through the game, though until about 60% throuhg the game I was rubbish  though I will admit since I wanted to get on with the game so i could play MGS4, I did use a walkthrough a few times to save me spending ages trying to work it out...

I usually take my time, but I'll rush through if there isn't anything that interests me outside the main quest.

nope. i saw people completing gta4 in like 20hours or so and then leaving it straight after. i took so much time with it that by the time i got to the end of the main story it said i had done about 50 hours.

Very timely as I am completing my, I dunno, forth play through of Mass Effect and started out thinking I would just do the main campaign but alas, I keep doing more then I really need to do - just for the Fun of it I guess.

No speed gaming for me even when I set out to do just that. :)

No, if anything I slow game. I don't replay games often so I want to make sure I explore every last nook and cranny before I beat it.

This plus the fact that I don't actually own any next-gen consoles so I'm usually playing at a friends/siblings and I try to beat a game as quickly as possible. Not many games are really deserving of my time anyway...

nope. i don't run through my games real fast. if it's a FPS game, I tend to do so since they're pretty much straightforward (except for STALKER for some reason)

If I star playing the game and I start to not like it then I Speed Game I did that for Assassin's Creed because I hated playing that game, but if I like the game I take my time with the game.

It depends. I've been known to speed run some Sonic games in my day, but I usually stop and enjoy a game.
