Do you think 360 outselling ps3 and wii 4 months in a row will make deveopers bring ps3 games that were planned as ps3 exclusives to 360? Outselling ps3 4 months in a row must make deveopers look at how good 360 is. i bet a hear alot of games that were exclusive on ps3 come to 360. Im guessing ffvs13 and kindom hearts. I think 360 will keep on outselling wii and ps3 for a long time. 500 million in advertisement for kinect will make a good reason to buy a 360.

Both have similar userbases so most 3rd party companies will go multiplat, no point in ignoring 40m console owners on each side.

Doubtful, but who knows? If they were looking to bring it to the console with the larger install base, they would have made a different choice to begin with. I'm not sure how outpacing the PS3 in NA would help sway devs on existing projects to go with the 360 now.

And how is spending half a billion dollars on advertising an add-on a good reason to buy a 360? Spending 500 million on new games would be better for gamers.

Ehhh, maybe. I'd like to think people base console purchases more on games available than ads per hour, but I'll concede advertising has an effect. Of course, so would 10 high budget exclusive games.

Still not sure why that would induce devs to switch their platform decisions now... especially since the install bases are closer now than they have ever been before. If 8 million more 360s didn't influence decisions when the games were announced, I don't know why less than 4 million extra 360s would change things.

The PS3's upcoming exclusives are either first-party games or games targeted at the Japanese market.

The two exceptions are Agent - which at this stage is somewhat vaporwarish and is likely to stay exclusive due to purported dealings between Take-Two and SCE - and FF versus XIII - which may end up going multiplat.

Alot of japanese developers will stay with PS3 and most western developers will stay mulitplatform. You don't ignore over 30 million potential customers.jakarai

Doubt. There's really not any third party that can afford to go exclusive. You wont get Kingdom Hearts on the 360, and i doubt you will get FFV13 on the 360 either, the PS3 version of FF13 outsold the xbox version almost 5:1Kokuro_Kun

Also, your overblowing it. 360 only outsold PS3 by 100,000 last NPD, and that was only NPD, you have to take japan and europe into account as well. and for all you know this sales surge will probaly die down next year. Peopel also need to realize that ,even though 360 has been selling more lately, PS3 is still selling well. Yes, you can be third and still sell well.
